Springfield Armory has just announced a compact carbine variant of their M1A-pattern rifle called the “Tanker” inspired by WWII carbines.

At SHOT Show 2018 was not the first time I have seen the M+M industries M10x International Defense Rifle, but it was worth stopping by. The M10x is a completely new design, and it is certainly unique. To my eye, it looks like a SCAR, AK, and AR got tossed in a blender, and the strong points of each survived to make a new beast.

Patriot Ordnance Factory (POF-USA) looked at the 7.62mm AR design and began to crunch numbers and inspect designs. They believed that there was a way to merge the two worlds of the 7.62mm AR and AR-15. Essentially to make a gun that has .308 performance with a 5.56 size. They decided it was time for a revolution.

KM Arms has taken the classic Bushmaster M17S design and upgraded it and enhanced it into a totally modern and intriguing offering. Available in both .223- and .308-sized models, the new M17S takes the bullpup design to the next level of performance.

The Mossberg MVP-LC Light Chassis series includes 5.56mm and 7.62mm variants that feed from AR-pattern, detachable magazines and can accept AR-pattern accessories.
