The Taurus TX 22 Competition entered the rimfire pistol market earlier this year and is making some big waves. This 22 LR handgun is a more affordable option for an optics ready, suppressor compatible rimfire pistol that has proved itself through the months since its release to be extremely accurate, reliable, and ergonomic. What ISN’T there to like about it?

This is an expensive gun, but what’s the saying in drag racing when people say how much does it cost? How fast do you want to go? The price point will keep many people away, but for what it is – a dead-nuts-accurate-competition-ready .22LR rifle – many others will view the cost as the price of admission to speed down the .22LR drag way. As the great Ricky Bobby said, “If you ain’t first, you’re last.”

I recently evaluated the Ruger LCR in .38 Special. As a follow-up, I wanted to evaluate the LCR in .22 LR. eing a fan of the Smith & Wesson J-frame, I am fortunate to own a Model 43C which is also chambered in .22 LR. This review also gave me an opportunity to compare the LCR with the Smith.
