Earlier this year, Devil Dog Arms (DDA) announced that its 1911’s were available in optics-ready versions, and I immediately asked for their 5 Tactical model in 10MM, specifically cut for the Trijicon SRO optic. I’d used and reviewed DDA’s 1911’s in the past and they were first-rate—accurate, reliable, and solid. But I had yet to use one of their 10MM models.

I have shot a lot of 10mm guns in my life, so I say this with some weight behind it. The Mk10 is the best 10mm on the market, hands down. At any price. And I can offer no higher praise than that.

How did the APC10 run? As expected for a price tag of $2599. As in, smooth as butter and without a hiccup. If you are looking for a personal defensive solution that packs a big punch, this one is an absolute winner.

What we wanted and deserved is a high capacity striker fired gun, sized for the human hand. And today, that dream becomes a reality. The XDM 10mm fits all the requirements, and then some. The XDM 10 is identical in grip size to the XDM 45, which is a vastly underrated weapon.
