Stoeger P3500, Value Shotgun with 5-Yr Warranty -- SHOT Show 2017

For under $400, this is a nice option for budget-minded buyers.

Stoeger made a splash last year with the P3000 series of shotguns, one of the best bargains going. This year they have doubled down with the introduction of the P3500.

The functional difference, the new model has a 3 ½ inch chamber, which allows you to use any shotgun shell you like.

Specs

  • Chambering: 12 gauge
  • Barrel: 26 to 28 inch
  • OA Length: 48-50 inches
  • Grips: synthetic
  • Sights: Red Fiber Optic bead
  • Action: pump
  • Finish: N/S
  • MSRP: $399

Impression

The P3500 is sure to be a hit with the bargain-minded hunters in states with snow geese. The new gun retails for $399 and comes with a 5-year warranty.

5-year warranty! Can’t beat that!

Part of how they kept the price down on this model was by shipping with one choke, though others are available. This puts them on par with other 3-inch pump actions as price goes. But I think you will like what you feel if you go pick one of these up. The action feels smooth, like better-known American brands did 20 years ago. At least, the brand I tended to prefer for pump action guns.
