Only uneducated anti-gunners would make this video and believe it would actually happen. They don’t know firearms, yet they think they know better than you. So their superiority complex makes them think we enthusiast are as dumb as they are and would act this out. A huge waste of production scare tactic for all the misinformed and uneducated like minded libtards to swallow. If only they would put all their time, money and efforts into firearm education. It was funny though. That bullet was so slow. I thought, instead of yapping about his family, the victim should have stepped aside. Or just reach out and pluck it and pocket it. Goofy ass video.
Russ, you are a bit self-important /gun knowledge limited- this exact same thing occurred to a cousin of mine using a gun of mine – several participants in the informal shooting activity told the man to quit drinking or quit shooting – everyone quit except him and he proceeded to shoot himself and suffered from it for years…..This video portrays that exact “Never happen to me”…event. Few Public Service Announcements are aimed at smart, safety conscious folks.

Really?….. this is more left wing agitprop by obamas leftist army implying that john q is too stupid to own or carry. I always whip out my gun at parties, rack point and pull, its so fun. NOT EVER. dumbasses for not seeing thru this
ConcealedCarryMarch 30, 2015, 4:08 pm
If you do have a permit to carry concealed, never tell anyone you are carrying. Do Not show it off. Period. Invite that person to go with you at a gun range instead. Once at the fire range, always make sure the firearm is unloaded by removing the magazine and making sure the chamber is clear of a round. Also, open the slide whenever it is put down for the next person to use it. Safety First ALWAYS! Learn the Basics of Firearm Safety if you Don’t Know it.

I don’t think the absence of alcohol would have made a difference in this scenario.
Kalashnikov DudeMarch 30, 2015, 1:54 pm
Yes, it’s a certainty that guns and alcohol do not mix. People know this. Most people can recite the phrase on demand. Even those who have fallen short of the concept can and have. I would go as far as to call it “common knowledge”. With that said, I ask you this, do we need legislation to reinforce it? If you drink and then “accidentally” shoot someone, you will be held accountable under the law as far back as I can remember, or even research. In fact, the only time this isn’t a fact is when someone of stature tilts the bottle and squeezes the trigger. Politicians, lawyers, judges, or extremely rich folks. But that’s always the case isn’t it? Same same with DUI’s and just about every other moral and legal application in our society. When do politicians get drug tested? Brick layers do. High school athletes do, though the administrators who impose them do not. There is something fundamentally wrong with this way of doing things in our society which this example displays quite clearly. For the record, yes I agree. Guns, drugs, any kind of mind altering activities or substances do not mix with guns. However, that is not to say that someone who partakes in such activities abdicates his 2nd Amendment rights in any way. Nor his responsibilities or accountability under those rights. This is what it means to live in a free country. The very foundation of it. Something our elected officials and others of stature are in fierce need of reminding. Rant finished………
Wow! I have been shooting competitively and hunting for 40 years and would I ever do something like this? I would sure like to think not! But I am not going to get on my high horse and start quoting statistics on how stupid this guy is for his weapon handling or start bragging that my state allows CC everywhere or that God put a gun in my hand when I was born! THAT has NOTHING to do with this commercial, absolutely NOTHING!!! This commercial is about nothing more than a reminder to everybody YES EVEN US who know everything about everything that accidents CAN HAPPEN!!! To be reminded of this is NEVER A WASTE OF TIME FOR ANYBODY!!!!!!

“Lemme just rack the slide, then point it at you and pull the trigger. Don’t worry, it’s unloaded.” Retard. Pretty stupid vid, imo, good point, bad video.
RackItBeforeIpassItMarch 30, 2015, 10:41 am
All this video shows is some moron racking the slide before he hands the weapon to someone. Why in the #$%& would you rack the damn thing? If you’re carrying a handgun and don’t know if there’s one in the chamber, you damn near deserve to get shot yourself for being such a dumbass as to not know the condition of your weapon. If I EVER hand a weapon to someone (know them or not), I drop the mag and clear the chamber…PERIOD!!! Wouldn’t matter if you were my Dad or my Brother, drop the mag, clear the chamber!! ALWAYS!! This video isn’t rooted in reality.

Alcohol causes impaired judgement. The level of which is determined by individual make-up, but which is universal. This video is poor and foolish representation what really is involved. A quick trip to YouTube is a much better PSA. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-T0a1N-12k , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7viw7389YY . and the list goes on an on. I personally believe that if you like to drink yourself to an impaired state while being near a firearm, you are a danger to anyone around you and I certainly would choose not to be near you. I believe you are free to do so, until you actually harm someone because of this negligence, then I believe you should then be tried, and if found guilty you should be removed from ever having any possible chance of ever being able to produce another victim. You should spend the rest of your life working for the victim or the victims family to pay back what you took which you would never be really able to do, but at least you would be productive.
PeteMarch 30, 2015, 6:25 pm
Agree completely! No crime has been committed until a person is damaged, and if that happens and you are found guilty… the penalty is an eye for an eye!

Here in GA we can now legally carry in BARS and CHURCHES…..

This is pure BS. You’d have to go back 100 years to find a connection between guns and alcohol. How many states (and we have 50) can claim bar shootings?
This is pure nonsense.
BR549March 30, 2015, 2:39 pm
The issue isn’t about alcohol or guns; it’s about stupid people.
Good point, it should be noted however that “Drinking makes a lot of people stupid”.

Slowed reaction times, lowered inhibitions, compromised vision, hearing, and balance. If you handle a firearm in any or all of these physical states, you’re an idiot, and just waiting to be dip netted out of the gene pool. Smarten up.

This video hits the key point for sure…I have had one these near death experiences with guns and alcohol… they sure as hell do not mix very well at all…
