The company had stopped selling bump stocks in the wake of the October shooting in Las Vegas, NV.  Following the attack, lawmakers called for bans on trigger cranks, reciprocating stocks and any other device or accessory that accelerates the rate of fire of a semi-automatic firearm.

As a result of those misguided calls for gun control, demand for bump stocks skyrocketed.  Slide Fire wasn’t able to keep pace with orders, so they stopped taking them.

“We have temporarily suspended accepting new orders while we work to replenish inventory,” the website reads. “We are still in full production with all product lines, but we don’t have a timeline as to which products will be available when.”

Slide Fire will be back online Cyber Monday.  If you’ve been waiting to get your hands on a bump stock, you’ll have your chance.

And if you miss out, don’t fret.  There are bump stocks for sale right now on GunsAmerica.

Some people have a lot of money to waste on ammo. Who am I to say they can’t have fun firing their semi-auto with a bump stock. If your not hurting anyone, go and have a blast. Last I head it was a free country.

  • JOHN Q PUBLIC November 25, 2017, 1:24 am

look, lets face it, no matter what rules they come up with its not gonna stop someone hell bent on total destruction.
I’m an absolute gun nut, I have at least 50 different types of guns, but honestly The bump stock is not needed period.
first off why spend 2 – 3 hundred for a piece of plastic when you can do the same damn thing with a rubber band,
What are you gonna do with this thing ? go hunting ? target shooting ? come on… is it that important to empty a 30 round mag in 3 seconds ? I think the people that designed this and the people that own one have been watching to much walking dead. 99% of people have never shot a full auto. if they did, they would say wow that was cool, but for the most part impractical. I’m surprised gang bangers haven’t been using these things, that’s about all theyre good for.

  • Barry November 24, 2017, 9:54 pm

I’m buying one just because of the debate on whether I can or cannot own one. I’m a strong believer that a man should be able to own anything and everything he wishes and can afford to buy. If he chooses to use it to commit harm or a criminal act then and only then should he be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

Civilians who want to purchase “fully-automatic” firearms can surely do so. They just have to pay the tax, pass the FBI background check, and wait +/- one-year for the paperwork to get processed. They’re certainly not illegal, just time consuming and relatively costly for some people.

Then they can waste all the ammo they want. And likely have a lot of fun doing so.

    REALLY?!?

AND, they show it with a drum magazine?

Jackasses to manufacture, jackasses to sell and jackasses to buy.
If only common sense, accountability, reason and maturity could have weighed in before this piece of crap even made it to market and we wouldn’t be anywhere near a debate on this pile of garbage with only one purpose in mind. A clandestine Machine Gun.

A pox on everyone involved with these for the threat that things like this represent to my AR, etc…

    Todd.

Really??? You may as well just pack up and leave this country if that is what you think. My ancestors came here to escape people that think like you so they could live free. There is no need for bans of anything, let the people regulate themselves. The NFA is a crock of shit that violates the constitution in the first place. Who cares what particular item is being discussed, if you think Washington DC knows what is best for me you are wrong.

      • JOHN Q PUBLIC November 25, 2017, 1:31 am

don’t be a douchebag – were not talking about Washington dc deciding on everything for us, were talking about common sense, easy access to a full auto machine gun in todays times is not smart.
your not gonna use it as self defense. The freakin police don’t even use them. were not being attacked by an army – there are no zombies. get over it, were talking about one item, get rid of it.

        • Matt November 25, 2017, 6:19 pm

We are not being attack by an army today, but that is the whole purpose of the second amendment, to protect our right to possess what ever we deem necessary to defend our freedoms from threats both foreign and domestic. Once the threat is apparent, it is too late to get what you need, you better already have it. And calling someone a douche for voicing thier opinion is exactly what we would expect a liberal idiot like you to do. You don’t get to say what I can or cannot have either so get over it. You and your thoughts are a threat to my freedom.

      • Todd November 25, 2017, 11:57 am

        Comprehend much?

Try reading it again before flying off the “clinger” handle!

People “regulating themselves” is EXACTLY what I’m talking about.

        Todd.

      Sincerely, go to Hell!

  • Farnsworth Abernathy November 24, 2017, 9:30 am

It’s easy to ban anything, but a piece of plastic? A wooden dowel? A rubber band? When the “bump stocks” are banned, and the YouTube video comes out with some yo-yo bump firing a 1908 Remington, what will you agree to then. Should they ban AR15s? M1s? ‘O3s? They will be happy when you need a license to buy a slingshot, but the rocks will be banned, possession a felony.
Nobody called for a ban on pressure cookers after Boston, but I’m sure fireworks were discussed, charcoal and saltpeter will be on that list. Tread lightly my friends, there is no limit to benevolent oppression, for the greater good, of course.

I have to agree that advertizing, recommending, backing, or defending certain firearm related accessories such as “Bump Stops” are undermining a logical, reasonable stand on gun rights. Certain things need to be controlled, or even banned, for the greater good. It is reasonable to support gun ownership, CCW, and possession with regulation of certain weapons, but as “COOL” as bumpstops and other devices are that facilitate rapid fire with a semi-auto are, they have no real “USE” in our society. We must be reasonable with those who oppose all guns and accessories so that we can maintain our rights as gun owners. A blanket resistance to every mention of control of anything firearms related makes us look unreasonable, which will only lead to our voices being totally ignored.

    • Matt November 24, 2017, 9:02 pm

Reasonable?? Hahaha you sound just like the left wing mush brain wackos.

    • Mike Magnum November 24, 2017, 10:45 pm

Ed – What in the HECK is a “BUMPSTOP” ??? Does it stop the bump ??? Us Bulls-Eye shooters and Hunters would never think about using a “BUMPSTOCK” They are for “Spray and Pray” type shooting, I doubt if anyone could hit the actual target they are trying to hit with one… The ARMY taught us a trick to shooting “FULL AUTO” and it won’t work on a BumpSTOCK…
      Mike – US ARMY 1974 -1977

    • FU November 25, 2017, 12:31 am

Bumpstop? What the heck is a bumpstop? How can you debate an item when you can’t even get the nomenclature right? Your ignorance is showing. Leave the 2A debate to people who have the knowledge to do so.

  • loupgarous November 24, 2017, 4:06 am

The law in ths United States is that no new fully-automatic firearm may be sold to civilians in this country. Bump stocks are literally smart-assery – a clever ass found out how to work around the law. Now there’ll be a hue and cry – justifiably, for once – after a rich head-case went up into a high-rise hotel in Vegas, murdered 58 people, wounded or caused to be injured 546 people, and made many of us think the Hughes amendment wasn’t such a bad idea.

The gun press would make our Second Amendment rights much easier to hang on to by not encouraging or reviewing bump stocks or anything else that’s an end run around what our representatives in Congress did on our behalf – making mass murder harder.

    • American November 24, 2017, 9:44 am

Do you really think that way ? Read the “Bill of Rights” . It is still a free marketplace. I don’t want a bump stock , but I think anyone who does should buy one.

      • Matt November 24, 2017, 9:05 pm

amen brother, but the coments people are leaving here are scary to say the least

      • G'umByTheP November 26, 2017, 3:10 pm

Agree 100%. If I want a nuclear suitcase bomb, I should be able to buy one at my local 7-11, no questions asked. So what if a few nut-cases wipe a few dozen cities off the map every year, that’s just the price of freedom.

    • Kevin November 26, 2017, 9:53 pm

There is a serious lack of comprehension here on the 2nd amendment. I challenge everyone here, including myself, to go back a couple hundred years and read the writings about the debate over the true meaning of the 2nd. I’m truly shocked by the “we need to compromise in order to save our right to bear arms” mentality. God bless America.
