This short barreled rifle could only be made better by a folding stock adapter, which Aero Precision also announced this year! Also, the Hornady subsonic ammunition box is for a 45-70 that was also being shot, not the 8.6 Blackout.

At Industry Day at the Range during SHOT Show 2024, I had the opportunity to shoot the Solus 8.6 Blackout with an 8″ barrel. The rifle was outfitted with the 7.5″ Solus Chassis, a Silencer Central Banish 46 suppressor, and an Aimpoint red dot.

This rifle easily put a smile on my face, being quiet and hitting the steel like a bus. The ammunition used was Discreet Ballistics 300 grain FMJ, NOT the Hornady Subsonic that is incidentally pictured in some of my photos.
