SENTRY Group Acquires Hexmag

SENTRY Products Group announced Tuesday that it is acquiring Hexmag, the popular manufacturer of magazines and accessories for AR-pattern rifles.

“We are proud to add Hexmag products to our company offerings; their innovative approach to product design and marketing fits well and extends our presence in the Military, Law Enforcement, Tactical and OEM markets,” said Terry Naughton, President of SENTRY Products Group, in a press release.

“This addition creates new US based jobs as manufacturing and distribution moves to SENTRY’s Boise, Idaho facility and core business functions move to the Virginia Beach, Virginia U.S.A. headquarters,” he continued.

Hexmag was launched in late 2013 with the idea of bringing lightweight, tough and affordable magazines to the marketplace. With their proprietary “PolyHex2” polymer and their patented hexagonal design, the magazines were a quick hit.

It also didn’t hurt that their mags were backed by a lifetime warranty, a bonus that few competitors were offering at that time.  The company then expanded its offerings to include grips, rail covers, and grip tape.
