We first came across the Right Now Range at SHOT Show this year and they were kind enough to send us one for review.
The Right Now Range comes flat, meaning you have to put it together. The range is about 36″x24″ when folded up. Set up it pretty easy and straight forward. The instructions are easy to follow and really not needed as it is pretty simple and intuitive to assemble. You can see some of the set up in the pictures. One thing I do want to mention is the inclusion of the stakes to keep the range from blowing over. These are small U shaped and really do a good job. It was a bit windy at the range when we set up the Right Now Range and we did not have an issue with it blowing over. The stakes are a little thin and would have trouble in rocky soil but being light helps make the Right Now Range more portable and I am OK with that trade off.
The bottom of the range box has standard bulls eye targets in a couple of different sizes. But the coolest part is the shelf on top that you can set things on and hang things off of. I was curious how well this part would hold up but it did great. The design is well thought out and the card board is thick and sturdy. We used the shelves to hang empty cans off of and to set plastic bottles and apples on. The tops of the shelves also have a slot in them that can hold clays.
I took my daughter with me to the range for testing out the Right Now Range. We had a lot of fun setting it up and shooting it. She did most of the shooting with her 10/22. All told we put between 200-and 300 rounds into the range and the stuff we set on the shelves. The Right Now Range preformed great and could have taken a lot more punishment. We even pulled out a .410 shotgun and put 10 rounds into it without destroying it.
I had planned to take the range apart and use it a couple of more time but we did run into one problem: ants. The apple sauce we made all over the sides attracted ants. Lots of ants. We couldn’t see them from where we were shooting, but they were there. I didn’t feel like transporting ants from the range back to the house, so the Right Now Range did not make it home.
The Right Now Range sells for $29.99 and is great for setting up quick and easy targets. This assumes you have a safe place to set it up with a backstop and such. And it is a much better value if you shoot things that don’t attract bugs or vermin.

Nice a $30.00 cardboard box.
