Reptilia has been producing quality mounts for years, and their new AUS modular mounting system for 2024 is no exception. More than just a scope mount, this system is designed to be versatile and configurable to meet your specific needs. You can mount red dots, lasers, and range finders on the primary scope mount. Originally designed for the military, this adaptable platform is also perfect for various civilian uses. Reptilia listened to user feedback and added taller mounts for LPVOs with forward-mounted lasers.

AUS Mount Variants
The AUS is available in three tube diameters: 30mm, 34mm, and 35mm. It also comes in three different heights: 1.53”, 1.70”, and 1.93”, with Cerakote finishes in black, FDE, or a limited edition OD green. The 1.93″ mount works well with my Vortex Razor 1-10 LPVO, allowing me to see mostly over my DBAL-D2 laser.
The 1.55″ mount is a lower option that also pairs perfectly with my Barrett M107A1, enabling me to mount a ballistic calculator for quick elevation changes when engaging targets at unknown distances.
AUS Mount Accessories
The AUS is compatible with Reptilia’s existing ROF lineup of accessories. This includes various red dot mounts for different footprints, which can be mounted on top or offset from the magnified optic. These mounts are low profile and don’t add unnecessary bulk to the system. The ROF 34mm offset mount for the Leupold DPP footprint is below.

The offset mount is a great solution for mounting my Vortex Defender-ST, allowing for passive aiming with night vision or quick shots when needed.
One of my favorite accessories is the ROF diving board, perfect for mounting a range-finding ballistic calculator like the Vortex Impact 4000. While it creates a taller footprint, having onboard ballistics is invaluable.
The diving board attaches to the AUS mount, using the existing top ring to provide an additional clamping surface with the scope.
Mounting System
The AUS mount attaches to any M1913 Picatinny rail with a streamlined, low-profile design. It utilizes Reptilia’s anti-snag, spring-loaded nitrided steel clamp and custom bolt mounting system.
Despite its lean and rugged appearance, the mount provides excellent rigidity. Since this is a modular system, I appreciate that Reptilia engraved the torque specs into the mount. This offers a quick reference when swapping between accessories.
Construction of the AUS Mount
The AUS mount is machined from a single piece of billet 7075-T6 aluminum and finished with a MIL-STD Type III, Class 2, hard anodized coating. While I didn’t drop-test it to avoid damaging my scopes, 7000 series aluminum is known for being lightweight and rugged.
Summary
Like all Reptilia products, the AUS mount is made in the USA and has a full lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects. This modular mounting system allows users to modify their optic setup as needed. Its biggest benefit is its versatility, but it also serves as a rugged and lightweight stand-alone mount. With an MSRP of around $325 and accessories sold separately, this system isn’t cheap, but you get what you pay for with this premium mount. For those looking to mount offset dots and lasers, Reptilia has you covered.
