It’s all the knuckleheads buying thousands of rounds when they have 20,000 rounds already on hand. It’s inflation on the prices of copper, and the rest of component materials. It’s all the new gun owners panicking that there won’t be ammo.

All of these things drive the prices through the roof.

Before, there was no ammo to be had. Then, you could get it, but it was 3 X the price. Now, it’s double. If the Democrats shove down more ammo control, the prices will skyrocket again.

Acquiring two factories that are already producing ammunition only increases production to your company. As they were already producing ammunition it does not increase the amount of ammunition getting out there to the public.

The last time I bought primers was in Dec. 2019. I bought a case of 5000 @2.8 cents apiece. This was on top of an existing supply of 7000. Throughout 2018, 2019 I took advantage of sale prices, free shipping and free haz-mat and stockpiled enough supplies to last 4 to 5 years because of the imminent 2020 election. No one could have predicted covid or the riots of 2020.
I stockpiled because I have been through shortages in the past and was determined to not be caught short again.
This shortage is by far the worse I have ever seen. I am not optimistic and even though I have a 4 year supply I am already rationing and have no confidence that things will be better in the next several years.
This video offers no good explanation for the continued shortage.

Blah, blah, blah…where is the ammo?

  • Andrew Ling December 3, 2021, 7:46 am

Price gouging blamed on COVID19. That’s what it is. I can’t find any reloading powders and primers, either. All the ammo makers are hoarding them so that we are all forced to buy the expensive manufactured ammo. Could it be that Biden, Pelosi and Bloomberg have their hands in this conspiracy? I am wondering.

You making all this ammo now.y is it so expensive? It’s higher now then it’s ever been. Box of 20 high power rifle deer r varmint is doubled and I can’t even find my brand, Hornady super performance n 270 130gr went extinct. It’s been months. And I bet when it shows up it will be doubled n price.bad times for ammo I hope it ends one day but it’s not looking good.

You just answered your question. Why not ramp up production on Ammo when it’s selling for high prices. It’s about the money obviously. As long as demand is there prices are not gonna come down. COVID or no COVID it doesn’t matter the price is set, people still buying the Ammo and prices will not change.
