Rasmussen Reports: ‘Americans Prefer Living in Neighborhoods With Guns’

in 2nd Amendment – R2KBA, Authors, Rapid Fire, S.H. Blannelberry, This Week

Shocking news! Really, really shocking news!

Actually no it’s not. It’s just common sense — at least for those of us who exercise our Second Amendment rights.

According to a recent Rasmussen survey the vast majority of Americans — 68 percent — prefer to live in neighborhoods were guns are allowed as opposed to 22 percent who would prefer to live in a gun free zone and 10 percent who were unsure.

Other findings from the poll show that only 14 percent of respondents favor a complete ban on handguns and almost half support a ban on semi-automatic “assault weapons.” Obviously, that latter finding is indicative of the disinformation campaign waged by gun grabbers to confuse the public about the difference between fully automatic weapons and commonly owned and widely popular rifles like the AR-15.

Nevertheless, when the questions are asked in simple terms, the end result is that Americans err on the side of gun ownership as opposed to gun control.

On the question of tighter gun restrictions specifically, 52 percent of voters said that gun control would either do nothing to decrease violent crime or actually increase violent crime compared with 40 percent of voters who believe that gun control would reduce violent crime.

According to Rasmussen, the national survey of 977 Likely Voters was conducted on June 8-9, 2015. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Fieldwork for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC.

I will be the first to ban an “assault weapon” …….. seeing as an inanimate object is incapable of any malicious actions on its’ own, I don’t think this is much of an issue, but I will keep an eye out for them!
