In a recent interview with comedian Marc Maron on his “WTF” podcast, president Barack Obama once again opened his yapper about gun control in the wake of the mass shooting at the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina.
“It’s important for folks to understand how hunting and sportsmanship around firearms is really important to a lot of people,” Obama began. “Its part of how they grew up. Its part of the bonding they had with tier dad It evokes all kind of memories and traditions and I think you have to be respectful of that.”
“The question is just is there a way of accommodating that legitimate set of traditions with some common sense stuff that prevents a 21-year-old who is angry about something, or confused about something, or is racist, or is deranged from going into a gun store and suddenly is packing and can do enormous harm?” Obama continued.
Obama mentioned that he was “disgusted” in the months following the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, when the Senate failed to pass significant gun control laws, including universal background check as well as bans on so-called “assault weapons” and “high-capacity magazines.”
“And that is not something that we have ever fully come to terms with,” he added. “And unfortunately, the grip of the NRA on Congress is extremely strong. I don’t foresee any legislative action being taken in this Congress and I don’t foresee any real action being taken until the American public feels a sufficient sense of urgency and they say to themselves, ‘this is not normal, this is something that we can change, and we’re going to change it.’ And if you don’t have that kind of public and voter pressure then it’s not going to change from the inside.”
Well, Obama is right in the sense that this latest shooting ultimately won’t change the way most Americans feel about guns. At the end of the day, most people realize that the Second Amendment is a necessary right that provides security for a free state and an individual a means to protect themselves, their families and their property from evil.
Obama’s misguided in that he believes there is some law out there or set of laws that will prevent a determined sociopath, racist from acquiring weapons to kill innocents.
Funny not one of these liberals lament the Union “Grip” on Congress. It’s ok to lament a group who spends collectively accross the country on candidates since 1998 through 2017 $11.1 million. Meanwhile the union movement in America has spent just on electioneering since 2005 to 2011, unions are estimated to have spent $4.4 billion on electioneering. So who’s got who’s “balls in a money clip” as Jimmy Kimmel put it on TV the other night. How disingenuous can you get, but then it’s typical of the Democrats and people like Barack Obama.

Obama: Read the Second Ammendment then read our lips. Its not about hunting ducks or deer, its not about punching holes in paper or teaching you kid to shoot a .22 as these are additional uses. Read the Constitution then the Bill of Rights and then your Oath of Office. Earn your pay and conduct your Service to the Nation in accordance with those documents. Do not stray from your Oath. It is not the NRA that as a grip on Congress, it is We The People. It is the NRA and Groups like it that keep our collective voices in Congresses ears and Congress is our Watch Dog to you from failing to follow the Law.
He would find some kind of excuse, such as, the oath dosen’t apply to him, thank you for speaking the truth, it is a shame the president of the U.S. is a socialist.
