Nugent Apologizes for ‘Offensive’ Anti-Semitic Meme

in 2nd Amendment – R2KBA, Authors, Current Events, S.H. Blannelberry, This Week
This is what Ted posted to his FB page. IMO, it's antisemitic.

This is what Ted posted to his FB page. IMO, it’s antisemitic.

Last week, I wrote that Motor City Madman made a mistake by posting an anti-semitic meme on Facebook, which implied that Jews were behind the movement to restrict the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding gun owners.

This week, it appears I was right in my assessment, as Uncle Ted admitted that what he did was “irresponsible” and that the meme was, indeed, “offensive.”

“I sincerely apologize for my irresponsible re-posting of such a nasty and offensive meme,” Nugent told The Zelman Partisans, a pro-gun, pro-Jewish organization in an email interview.

“In my rush between songwriting jams and musical recording frenzy, all I saw was the images of people dedicated to disarm us, I made no connection whatsoever to any religious affiliation,” continued Nugent.

The Motor City Madman then went on to say that he doesn’t harbor any hatred toward Jewish people.

“Everyone knows deep down that at 67 years of age I didn’t suddenly become anti-Semitic,” he said. “That’s patently ridiculous, and those who rushed to such a mistaken condemning judgement should re-examine the system by which such equally irresponsible knee-jerk judgments are made.”

For the record, I never said that Ted was antisemitic. What I did say that was Nugent made a mistake and that his inability to recognize the discriminatory import of the meme made me question his judgment. After all, how could anyone not see that what he posted was, indeed, bigoted?

“Jew York City Mayor Mikey Bloomberg,” says the quote over the face of the former NYC mayor. At the bottom of the photo of Sen. Frank Lautenberg, it read, “Gave Russian Jew Immigrants your tax money.”

But whatever. Ted says he didn’t see the obvious connection, so I’ll take him at his word. Everyone makes mistakes. Plus, as he admitted, he is older, he is very busy and he is a rock star — so, maybe, one should grant him additional latitude for foot-in-mouth behavior.

Then again, one could certainly argue that as a board member of the National Rifle Association, the nation’s most powerful lobby, which represents over 5 million gun owners, Ted should be held to a higher standard. Given his clout within the industry, he should know better.

For me though, I’m done with all this Ted talk. Pointing the finger at him only serves to distract us from our real enemies out there — yes, many of the people pictured in that meme, no, not because their Jewish, but because they’re anti-gun!

I will close by addressing one other point, Ted’s lamentation that more pro-gun folks didn’t reach out to him directly for a comment or an explanation on why he did what he did.

Ted is an avid hunter, if you didn't know.

Ted is an avid hunter, if you didn’t know. (Photo: Facebook)

“The real tragedy is how many who claim to be on the side of freedom so viciously attacked me with zero effort to communicate with me directly as you [The Zelman Partisans] so honorably did,” said Ted. “For that I thank and salute you.”

Two things, first, Facebook is a direct way to communicate with an audience, be it the media or the public. It’s directly from the horse’s mouth. And, after posting that “offensive” (his words) meme, Ted followed up with a subsequent post that was rather cryptic in that it expressed no remorse or contrition. Instead, it blamed readers who took offense.

To quote from the post, “Just when you hope that mankind couldnt possibly get any dumber or more dishonest, superFreaks rise to the occasion. What sort of racist prejudiced POS could possibly not know that Jews for guncontrol are nazis in disguise?”

That’s clearly not what the meme was suggesting, rather this was Ted’s interpretation. And we’re dumb for not understanding this? I don’t think so. The onus is on Ted to communicate and clarify his message.

It should’ve been rather evident by the thousands of negative comments that Ted received on Facebook that there was a discrepancy between what Ted wanted to say about those in the meme versus what the meme was actually saying. Instead of immediately apologizing, Ted stood his ground and pointed the finger at those offended by the meme for not getting it.

Second, the last time I reached out to Ted for an interview, shortly before SHOT Show 2016, I received the following response, “Greetings from Tedquarters. Mr. Nugent is traveling at present, and we are not attending SHOT this year.” I then sent some brief questions for him to answer via email. He never got back to me, which is fine. I get it. He’s busy. And, this is not the first time a celebrity has not answered questions I’ve sent them (nor will it be the last).

But my point is simply this, it’s a two-way street. If Ted had a problem with what I had written, then he can contact me too. As far as I was concerned, he had said what he had wanted to say on Facebook. Again, it wasn’t just one post, but several posts where he essentially doubled down on the initial one. And it was directly from his mouth, not from a journalist or newspaper covering a story. Why would I ask him for a quote when he was continuously addressing the matter on Facebook?

At the end of the day, this whole ordeal is on Ted — not on anyone else. He made the mistake. He paid for it, I’m sure (some of those comments from fans and former fans were pretty harsh). And, now, he has apologized for it. I’m ready to move on from this story. How about you? Let’s come together and continue to fight the good fight.  What do you say?

I’m an old white guy. I see and hear comments about guys like me being bigots and insensitive frequently (or so it seems.) I’m worn out from all the “we’re offended” talk going around today. Sure I’m offended for being assumed to have some bigotry in my upbringing but I don’t whine about it. I’ll gladly sit down and open lines of communication with whoever, whenever. Let’s relax a little folks.

All of the weak minded people who are so fast to pick up the gauntlet for murderous Israel and touted their “victim” status, since Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians. ……. is Israel anti-semetic? What Ted posted in his posting is 100% TRUE

    • Mark March 21, 2018, 3:22 pm

What genocide? A genocide is the extermination of a people. In 1948 there were around 700.000 arab palestinians in the region. Nowadays they’re more than 5 millions.

  • Bob Bacon February 21, 2016, 8:06 pm

Semites are anti-white! If anyone owes an apology, JEWS owe an apology to white countries for millenniums of parasitic behavior and pushing for every possible corruption of our countries’ policies and institutions, to make themselves more at home, like in their shitty eastern original countries.

  • Ringo Lapua February 20, 2016, 10:28 am

As a friend and supporter of Ted Nugent and Israel, I was stunned by Ted’s post, but I do understand what he attempted to say and failed. I also know that Ted has done tens of thousands of good deeds for people in need, particulary the thousands of veterans who were stonewalled by the Obama government and now are living in a home and have a good job compliments of the leadership of Ted Nugent. TED GETS THE MESSAGE AND I HOPE IT IS CLEAR TO ALL OF THE USA SUPPORTERS OF THE CONSTITUTION: There is NO ROOM and NO TOLERANCE for religious or racial predjudice among our ranks. WE NEED TO STAND TALL TOGETHER TO DEFEND OUR RIGHTS AND FREEDOM.

  • john daugherty February 20, 2016, 9:49 am

Another fine American who stood up to tell the truth and found out out vicious and powerful those jews can be by having hos nuts publicly handed to him. It is now a crime to even tell the truth about the jews!

    • Ringo Lapua February 20, 2016, 10:30 am

…and some Catholics, and some Methodists, and some Baptists and some……… Muslims. So what’s your point? ADJUST YOUR THINKING…. sounds a bit fuzzy to me!

  • Rich February 20, 2016, 5:25 am

Ted is correct. The ppl who saw this as anti-semetic show themselves to be the true racists.

  • Righteous Gentile February 20, 2016, 2:02 am

It is a sad fact that the politically active and financially well connected “New York Jewry” is out of step with the descendants of those who died in Stalin’s & Hitler’s pogroms in the last century. Despite their continual support of the Zionist movement and the continued U.S. support of Israel, despite that nation’s continued abuse of our friendship with on-going espionage, the NYJ opposes the very firearms ownership that enables Israel to continue to resist the onslaught of muslim anti-semitism. Hypocritical you say? Of course it is! So do not confuse an attack on the NYJ linchpins of anti-gun activism with anti-semitism: a real anti-Semite would be all about attacking the JPFO and trying to disarm jews everywhere, including Israel.

Actually, that might be a good acid-test: the next time Chucky Schumer or Barbara Feinstein or one of their ilk proposes more anti-gun legislation, make it contingent upon curtailing arms sales to Israel. If they want to disarm American jews, they should want to disarm Israeli ones too, don’t you think? 😉

  • AmericanIcon February 19, 2016, 7:33 pm

‘Didn’t notice’? Sure – an Israeli flag on each photo, each and every one self-identified as (to some extent) Jewish, and someone with the eyesight to put an arrow into something the size of a rabbit at 30 yards ‘didn’t notice’? Not buying that for a minute. Time to resign from the NRA board, let those with integrity carry on the fight, and limit your contributions to financial. And your ‘music’ sucks, too.

  • survivor50 February 19, 2016, 6:35 pm

As an OLD Army Combat Vet ( Mideast React Team 1971), and an Election Judge nowadays, I have always found it interesting, from a psychological perspective, that so many Jews go along willingly with the very thing that will insure their demise. History does indeed repeat it’s self. Welcome to 1939 part II.
Uncle Ted, no harm, no foul…

  • JL February 19, 2016, 5:57 pm

First, let me say that you did a great job of covering this issue. Your story is fair and evenhanded. Thanks for the followup. I was wondering what became of this.
I find it interesting that when people make outlandish, hateful, or simply politically incorrect statements, they quickly apologize afterward and expect everyone to believe that they never meant it. It’s hard to tell sometimes whether the apology is sincere, or simply an attempt to get weather the storm of criticism, be it fair or not. (In this case, the criticism of Ted was warranted, I think most of us will agree.)
In any case, I’m with you on this: I’ll give Ted the benefit of the doubt and accept his apology.
It’s also ironic that I read this story today, because just this morning I was thinking to myself, “I never heard back from the NRA when I wrote them urging them to kick Ted off the board.” Maybe they heard me after all.

  • Timbo February 19, 2016, 5:19 pm

The truth is Ted was correct, just not in that they are all Jews, but that they are all LIBERALS! I’m sure that was what he was focused upon, the libs just want to read bigotry into everything!

  • R Lautherboren February 19, 2016, 4:32 pm

Racism has existed since recorded history! Like America tried to force democracy on Vietnam, Racism will NEVER end as history has proven. Humans should spend more time, energy and money saving the planet rather than forcing Political Correctness, the “Why Can’t We All Get Along” doctrine and trying to take my firearms away from me. Disarming, censorship and keeping the populace uneducated and uninformed brings about Dictatorship and or Communism. Wake up America and learn from history, it ALWAYS repeats itself. When Japan was asked why they didn’t attack America, the Japanese Supreme Commander stated they knew most Americans were armed and would never be able to defeat the shear firepower of armed Americans. Liberals want to disarm Americans to control and enslave them!

    • Dave Ope February 19, 2016, 5:52 pm

      yep . i agree

  • Texas Sammy February 19, 2016, 4:27 pm

The meme isn’t antisemetic and IMO that word gets thrown around WAY too much anyway. Ted makes a valid point with that post, it’s just too bad he tucked his nuts in between his legs and apologized for it. Don’t let any Jewish or Israeli (or any other foreign entity for that matter) push us Americans around and tell us what to think/say. Americans need to quit riding the Israeli bandwagon. They’re our ally not our countrymen. There’s a huge difference.

  • Gary February 19, 2016, 4:16 pm

It is said that those who are in power/charge are the ones we dare not criticize. ‘Nuff said!

  • Powder Burns February 19, 2016, 3:02 pm

Ted can KMA….Nugent’s a POS Publicity Whore who will literally do or say ANYTHING to keep his name in the News. He was a mediocre guitar player and a pedophile. How this POS ended up on the NRA Board is probably the real question people should be asking. Maybe it’s time to start cancelling a few memberships until the NRA get’s it’s Act together and brings some respectability & class back into this discussion. I am disgusted beyond the point of caring what the NRA does.

    • Cody Lowe February 19, 2016, 4:11 pm

      Amen, brother!

How obvious is it that some people research what they talk about? Zionist dont care about jews, whites, blacks, mexicans, brothers or others. your freedom of speech grants you the right to freely speak about anything that is not offensive to others? how am i to raise my children to learn about religion if i cant point out the differences that cause us to believe differently? when did your parents ever tell you that you should alter your beliefs to coincide with “political correctness”? Now im “what” if i CHOOSE not to be around a religious, sexually oriented, ethnic, vegan, politically affiliated individual? If the fed recognizes a same sex marriage, do i have to? Why am i even being told (or guided) what to think? Should it be a crime if i dont bother anyone, but choose not to associate with certain people? Believe what you want. Say what you want. A lot of people have fought really hard to make sure you can. Now we so quickly run from saying things that the zionist owned, operated, and controlled media tell us we shouldnt say. WAKE UP PEOPLE! Zionist are real. If you knew what the “talmud” said about you, you might have a whole new outlook on things. Ted, Blannelberry, and everyone else, say what you want. sticks and stones people, sticks and stones…

  • Glen Wilkerson February 19, 2016, 1:22 pm

I would not call the meme Anti-Semitic, as it does not condemn Jews in general – what it does is point out Jews who have betrayed their country, betrayed their oaths of office, AND BETRAYED THEIR FAITH in favor of the LIBERAL AGENDA. Just as radical Muslims are Muslims FIRST, and Americans (or anything else) SECOND, these people are Liberals and Socialists FIRST, and Jewish SECOND, and their Treason to their country and their faith needs to be pointed out.

    • Bob Bacon February 21, 2016, 8:07 pm

“Their country” is Palestine-Israel. They have no business to even set foot in White countries.

  • kk February 19, 2016, 12:42 pm

and with his “apology” i just LOST ALL RESPECT that i ever had for ted nugent !!!

  • Z. Artin February 19, 2016, 11:34 am

Speaking the truth isn’t popular, even among our own we have these that slithered in as watchers and infiltrators. They the jews and their organizations may sound and work similar, but are different in crucial ways. We speak in a corporate mind set but they speak only of themselves. I am ashamed of you Ted, Backing down, shows that you too are a coward.

  • Geo February 19, 2016, 11:15 am

I quit reading your article, couldn’t finish it. About midway (maybe) you stated “I’m done with all this Ted stuff”, this after you’d already taken the opportunity to get “the last word in”. Then you continued to defend yourself and point out your opinion of Teds faults/mistakes. So, apparently your not done, or are you?

  • Kent Smith February 19, 2016, 11:14 am

I really enjoy the part of your forgiveness for Ted when you say you’re “done with all this Ted talk now” and then the article still referencing him goes on about twice as long as the article prior to that statement , and stating to hold someone (whoever that may be) to a “higher standard” is rediculous . Standards for all should be equal

  • Bobo February 19, 2016, 11:12 am

My dad served with the Marines in the pacific during WWII, my older brother served with the Marines in Korea during the Korean War and I served in Vietnam. My dad flew the flag everyday outside our house. I belong to the NRA since I could remember. I’m a Jew. His posting was offensive. Since he apologized I consider the matter closed.

  • Max February 19, 2016, 11:06 am

Well, this thread has been a bit of a wake up call. I never imagined the 2nd Amendment supporters, like myself, could harbor such irrational beliefs and ipso facto utterings. I am married to a wonderful lady who happens to be Jewish. She and I have taught our two children to be proud of their heritage and never take crap like people dish out here. Both are gun owners, and competent marksmen. My 21 year old son far surpasses me in his knowledge of firearms, and can name the round and make of weapons used in most nations. He and his cousin rebuilt a 1902 Springfield on his 16th birthday, and it turned out perfect. My daughter, on the other hand is just happy to carry her S&W M&P 9C when she leaves work late, but she can group at 25 yds far better than I.
What is disturbing is the suggestion, as is often the case, that if someone is Jewish, they are somehow guilty of something. If someone who is, say, Irish, is a brain-dead liberal and gun hater, would not most of you just say he’s a brain-dead liberal gun hating idiot? Would his background influence your labeling? Somehow, being Jewish and having that same unfortunate mix of thinking requires he or she be assigned the label of traitor and evil because they are of Jewish background? That, folks, is racism, or bigotry, or just plain muddled thinking.
I have been married 3 times. The first 2 were to self-described Christians. But only my 3rd wife’s family treats me like Christians say others should be treated, with love, acceptance and charity. They were the children of Russian and Austrian immigrants escaping the Nazis. They came to America, worked on the lower east side as tailors and day laborers, hid their religion for fear of the kind behavior on this thread, and sent their children to school. My mother-in-law is a teacher, my father-in-law is a PhD in mechanical engineering, and their children are all doctors, and their grandchildren are all doctors and one lawyer. Most of them probably voted for Obama, and some regret that decision I am sure. After all they are certainly intelligent. But none could be characterized as greedy or power hungry. But if they read this thread, it might encourage them to brush up on their marksmenship, and I would encourage them to do so.

    • fred February 19, 2016, 12:03 pm

Did you have a point that in any way negates pointing out that a majority of Jewish politicians in the United States are leftist gun control supporters? If so, I certainly missed it.

      • Leonard Feinman February 19, 2016, 1:25 pm

I do not think the majority of Jews are anti-gun, anymore than any other group of, say, Catholics. You missed the point made in previous comments. I am a gun owner, and Life Member of the NRA. I am a Jew. I fought in Vietnam. I am an ex-law enforcement person as well. I consider myself typical. The people Ted picked out are shameful. So was his remark. But don’t blame all of us for who the voters pick, because they pick them for their own reasons. They represent the mindset of their constituents. Jews are a small minority, so others have to vote them and their opinions into office. I do not have to agree with them, and you certainly don’t, but realize they speak only for the group who voted for them. I didn’t. I wouldn’t. You won’t either. My vote and yours are equal. You can’t just buy the office they were elected to. Don’t even go down that road.

      • Max February 19, 2016, 4:17 pm

Well that’s 19 Jewish Representatives, and 10 Jewish Senators, all Democrats, and almost all from the most uber liberal districts in the nation. So the other reps from those districts are also, in all probability, liberals who want to take away my guns. Are you calling them out for being what ever their heritage is? Or is it Jews you want to watch out for? THAT’S my point. Point them out for being against the 2nd Amendment or any other political position you are opposed to, but not for doing so while being Jewish. There are lots of Jews, especially in Israel where it is an obvious necessity, to be pretty pro-gun. Of course, some folks seem to feel those are people who also should not be allowed to defend themselves, instead favoring the made-up nation of “Palestinians”. So, its either hate the Jews for not agreeing with a point of few, or hate them for surviving wars fought against them by ideological maniacs 8000 miles away from the US. All this “Jew concern” just underlines the point I make to all Jews I know–get a gun, learn to use it. Carry it where permitted. The minds of some people are made up and they are simply haters, and you better be ready for them.

      • Cody Lowe February 19, 2016, 4:30 pm

You apparently didn’t read Nugent’s posts. They went far beyond “pointing out that a majority of Jewish politicians in the United States are leftist gun control supporters.” And maybe you can explain why it was relevant for an NRA board member to point such a fact out? Why not list the Catholic legislators who support gun control with a little crucifix beside their pictures? Why not black legislators? I’d bet the majority of them are gun-control advocates.
As an NRA member, I find such appalling lack of judgment on the part of a board member inexcusable. Do we not have enough trouble with gun-control advocates attacking us at every turn with gross misrepresentations of our mission and membership without having one of our purported “leaders” egging them on with indefensible anti-Semitic tripe?
In addition, Blannelberry is spot on about Nugent’s whining about nobody contacting him for comment about his comments. Nugent is right that he probably didn’t suddenly become an anti-Semite. He was probably just covering it up all the time. He just suddenly became more stupid than he was when he was younger (which was stupid enough) and let everybody know it.

  • RichardWardAnderson February 19, 2016, 11:05 am

He should not have apologized and you should not have called his actions a mistake. Those pictured are all Jews, they don’t try to hide the fact so why should we not be able to speak the facts? Do you really think it is some kind of accident that the Jews in power are in the forefront of the push to abrogate our God given rights as noted (NOT granted) in the Constitution? They are certain;y not the only ones, Barack Husein Obama and Hillary Clinton are certainly not Jews but they are sure taking plenty of money from them and giving them their money’s worth. Politically Correct restrictions on speech are a way of muzzling dissent so that we are helpless to resist the takeover of our country by peoples who are no friends of the American People. Have you ever tried to wrap your minds around the fact that in Israel everyone is able (and almost expected) to carry arms and all of those pictured in Ted Nugent’s post are huge supporters of Israel. yet they want to take away Americans’ right to do the same. Did you ever try to think about why that is?

  • steven marlowe February 19, 2016, 11:04 am

to some degree ted was not wrong. The libs and and extreme left wingers have some very powerful and rich jewish people pushing the buttons.I am not saying all jewish people but a lot of them are voting democrat and as we can see that party has a large following that thinks socialism is the way to go.They temp people with free everything and nothing is free someone is going to pay. This stuff does not appear magically and neither does freedom. It is all paid with something by someone. What you get free today will be paid for by future generations and all you have to do is look at the world to see the 3rd world countries the socialist would like us to become

  • Former Marine February 19, 2016, 10:54 am

Ok, so there are a lot of anti-semetic folks, who are clearly both stupid & ignorant, who have posted responses & clearly did not read the original article.
Fact of the matter is Ted’s meme, hurtful though it may be is true. However, as the original article so truly pointed out, for every gun hating liberal Jew, there’s one, if not two, who fight just as hard if not harder for our gun rights.
Also, as an aside, the folks who have thrown various stones about the Jew’s perceived lack of assimilation into society, Palestine, et al, let me remind you it’s an ethnicity, race, & religion. So yes we do have the same conversations about other groups of people (illegal immigrants), whoever it was who posted that gem, forgot who you were already. Also do a little historical research you can go back to the Middle Ages or just as far back as Britain’s deal with the Nazi’s to dump the Jews into British Palestine to both placate the Nazi’s & get rid of two groups of people they hated as much as the Nazi’s did without having blood on their hands.
Finally, I’m Jewish. I’m also a Yankee cop in TX & a former Marine. I had near terminal cancer a few years back & gentleman who lived in my city had a relative who worked for Ted on his Texas ranch. Not only did Ted get every single fundraiser item available for him & every family member, he just flat donated money to help me pay my medical bills & sent me a get well card with a blessing written in Hebrew in it. I’m pretty sure Ted Nugent isn’t anti-semetic & if he spoke the truth but framed it in such a way it came across as offesive, oh well. Get the hell over yourselves people. Ted’s call the Motor City Madman for a reason & he’s not the problem. The problem is ignorant & stupid bigots, & those who allow themselves to be offended by everything.

  • Tripwire February 19, 2016, 10:42 am

As I stated in the past, every one of those people on that poster are in fact Jews and there is no denying it, they are all anti-gun, again no denying, they have all called for the 2A to be set aside, the list goes on, the truth is a poster could be made up with Hillery, Schummer, hell most Dim-O-Craps in DC saying the same thing and it would be true, so are these Jews to be exempt because they are Jew’s?
I don’t think Ted did anything wrong, he pointed out a truth, So are these anti-gun fools exempt from truth because they are Jews? I think not.
As for the NRA, I’ve joined at least a dozen times and within days my mail box is filled with calls for more money to fight this or that new threat, it never ends, the NRA spends so much money sending out the waterfall of mail begging for more money they could buy a senate seat with it. Somebody will say that more money is needed to fight the battle but I ask just how much does it take to buy a Senator and keep him bought? What’s the bidding price for a Congressman?
I personally endorse “Gun Owners of America” the NO compromise pro gun group.

    • Former Marine February 19, 2016, 10:55 am

There’s also Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership.

      • shane connor February 19, 2016, 11:56 am

I’d met the founder of jpfo.org back in the 90’s and joined. I’m not jewish, but they’ve got some great resources there for awakening folks, making the case for 2A and inevitable genocide when it’s lost. Not as widely known as GOA, which I also support, but every bit as hard hitting. Check them out and you’ll see we have some very serious Jew allies supporting your 2A.

  • Travis February 19, 2016, 10:11 am

Racism is nothing new for Ted. Three years ago he was describing the president as a “subhuman mongrel” . This is consistent with his previous statements from the Joseph gobbles style manual.
Retracting it is consistent with the cowardice he showed when he scrapped his pants to dodge the draft.

  • BJG February 19, 2016, 10:05 am

Ted did nothing wrong, Just posted pictures of the truth. I’ve always been a strong supporter of Israel. But American Jews seem to be a different type. I believe they would sell Israel down the river if it would further their liberal views. It seems they support every liberal ideal that weakens America. A vast majority of them voted for Obama who hates Israel and America. Thats just the facts.

  • R Lautherboren February 19, 2016, 9:51 am

Not posting my previous comments just proves GunsAmerica are the ones “off the reservation” for condemning a TRUE patriot, but unwilling to accept criticism for doing so! Censorship and politically correctness in destroying America and you’re contributing to it. GunsAmerica, you are one of the most hippocritical entities I’ve ever run across!

  • MarkinLA February 19, 2016, 9:25 am

Sorry Ted but doing the PC grovel dance is entirely the wrong thing to do. Trump showed that standing up to the PC bullies works. You should have done so. What was going to happen – fewer Jews at your shows, less Jewish money going to the NRA? That and a dollar would get you a cup of coffee.

  • BR549 February 19, 2016, 8:57 am

Actually, the issue isn’t really about Ted right or wrong, Mr. Blannelberry, it’s that Ted failed to illuminate the difference between two types of Jews. While there are, demonstrably, many loyal US citizens who have put their life on the line for this country, there are a band of not so nationally loyal Jews following the high order globalist-driven dictates for the UN to disarm the US population. It is that gang of measly, whiney assed politicians and their higher-ups that Ted was referring to (I am assuming); the same distinction that Mel Gibson no doubt failed to make. The problem, as it was leading up to WWII, was that the globalist level Jews behind the gun grab; that same genre of Jews that allowed Hitler to come to power while using their own brethren to to used as political bait while they benefitted from the war; it is THOSE Jews that need to be brought into the light of day.

And while we are at it, American Jews that support Zionism are, ultimately, supporting the demise of the Constitution. They may not believe so, but I feel strongly otherwise. It’s about time that the fairy-tale bubble burst and people ban realizing what Martin Luther King, as well as the wise sages of millennia ago had attempted to illustrate; that the “Promised Land” was a state of mind, NOT a piece of real estate. The whole concept was, itself, a test to see if followers had been able to graduate out of the second grade, spiritually speaking.

Then there is this “in-between” group of quasi-zionists, who will let all these other Jewish brethren stand on the front lines of supporting the state of Israel, but are too busy kvetching about their own investments to get involved. These people are apolitical and basically nationless.

We don’t have these discussions so much about the Vietnamese, the Portuguese , or those from Argentina because those people are minding their own business or assimilating. They haven’t made it their life’s mission to SECRETLY control the whole planet’s monetary system. But one group has and they have purposefully hiding in the shadows, allowing their own people to take the hit, while they sit back and take advantage of everyone else’s ignorance.

A perfect example of such spineless gutter dwellers is George Soros. While some Jews are just your regular neighbors down the street, their are others who USE their Talmud-based Jewishness, not to assimilate, but to dominate; …… no different than the hard core Islamists.

So tell me, Mr. Blannelberry, which group do YOU think Nugent and Gibson were referring to?

  • R Lautherboren February 19, 2016, 8:42 am

When is this nation going to realize we are NOT a truly FREE nation until we can say what we believe in without being condemned or percecuted. Shame on YOU GunsAmerica for negatively exploiting Ted who has done more for 2A rights than you’ll ever hope to accomplish! As for the poster that Ted posted, yes those posted are gun control idiots and yes they are Jews. So where did Ted go “off the reservation?” Because he stated FACT? Perhaps GunsAmerica needs to rethink their “off the reservation” persecution of those who have the courage to state the FACTS!

  • mark scott February 19, 2016, 8:35 am

why appologise to that group if you are 100% right about them, just remember the Jews supported Hitler and his disarming of the people too. they are idiots historically.

Time to clean house of this ZioNazi filth that is killing Amurika!! Molon Labe!!

Here’s the thing about Social Media, if you put it out there, you own it. And, if you are a public figure without a media rep to review, research, or confirm your information, then you take responsibility for the “communications” you post. (Yes, you are communicating with your FB followers, you have opened the lines when you put up the page.) I’m too busy doesn’t cut it, you weren’t too busy to post it. Put on your big boy pants and learn to read what you’re about to post.

  • Chuck February 19, 2016, 8:11 am

Well explain away the fact that U.S. Jews vote 75% for the liberal leftist in every election. It’s carved in stone with them. What’s up with that?

  • Al Vanuce February 19, 2016, 7:35 am

Nugent is still an ASSH#$E no matter how you cut it, another reason I will never belong to the NRA, responsible people belong to organizations that actually do good and not lobby and use $$$$ to influence politics, the National Shooting Sports Foundation is one that everyone should belong to.

    • Jackpine February 19, 2016, 7:53 am

Mr. Vanuce, to paraphrase Mr. Spock, ‘If you don’t influence politics, they will most certainly influence you.’ Everyone has an agenda; lobbies and politics is how it gets done.

      Head-in-the-sand, not so much.

      • Al Vanuce February 19, 2016, 8:51 am

What you said speaks volumes, ” Everyone has an agenda; lobbies and politics is how it gets done” that, is whats wrong with America, head up ass, much.

    • Alan February 19, 2016, 9:12 am

Nice Al, I would point out that those who feel the need for vulgarity to get their point across are often the ones who shouldn’t listened to.
And Al, who are YOU to define just who is “responsible” and who isn’t in the arena of politics?
      I’m a member of BOTH.
Responsibility is representing your group(s) with dignity and decorum.

  • Roger D. Franco Sr. February 19, 2016, 7:26 am

Dear Uncle Ted, You have always been an inspiration to all of us in the hunting and shooting fraternity. You are a bomb thrower of the first magnitude. That’s what we admire about you. You have the cajones to tell it like it is. You can put all this to bed by just finishing what you started. Continue your rogues gallery with the rest of the celebratory anti-gun phobes. There must be hundreds that do not happen to be of Jewish extraction. Do it in any format that you think will bring the point across. Include their religious affiliation if you think it is relevant. Let the various religious sects that have pro-gun members know who their peers are that would infringe on their second amendment rights. Be inclusive, not exclusive. Everyone in your face book post is a screaming anti-gun wack job. The fact that they all happen to be Jewish should upset any of the Jewish contingent that are with us. Just as any of the other religious affiliated groups should be upset with their fellow members that are wrong headed about our right to keep and bear arms. Finish the list. If you stop here, it makes you look like something that you are not. The rest of us that are Goyem (non-Jewish) need to know who our traitors are too. Finish the list.

    • JS February 19, 2016, 9:52 am

I think most in the picture he posted are “Jews” in the political and financial sense only. I read another poster saying as much recently. I agree with him. Look at their goals in life: Power, greed, and Control over the sheeple. I will never understand how any person, Jewish or Christian, would submit to losing their God-given rights of self-defense. Ted is just that, a bomb thrower, and I take anything he says with a “celebrity qualifier” label.

  • Scott February 19, 2016, 7:22 am

I think in his passion to defend 2nd, Ted does go off the plantation from time to time. But, I also believe that no one has the RIGHT to not be offended. If you strongly disagree with a statement, or opinion I offer and it is processed as offensive to you in any way, fashion, or form, that is not my problem. It is however, a misrepresentation of rights the media is perpetuating in order to quell FREE SPEECH! It is oppressive censorship!

  • Jon Wald February 19, 2016, 7:19 am

We all make mistakes and so did Ted. He is a leader in fighting for our hunting, fishing, and 2nd amendment rights. He is also a very busy man and things like this happen. I love this man for what he stands for, for his music, and for his courage! Keep on rocking Ted!!

  • JoeSmith February 19, 2016, 7:16 am

I like how Ted waited a good and long time before apologizing just to let everyone know this was coerced.

Two things we know from that “meme”: 1. It portrays an accurate phenomenon and 2. Everyone on the list is guilty as charged but also belongs to a powerless minority helpless to do anything when attacked for their perfidy.

This meme isn’t going to die I can tell you that right now.

  • Deus Vult February 19, 2016, 6:49 am

Apparently the truth is antisemitic because jews are behind gun control along with mass immigration, feminism, and every other harmful movement.

  • RetNavet February 19, 2016, 6:18 am

No S.H. Dingleberry its NOT all on Ted as you say. Its on you as well. Ted succumbing to the pressure for the usual politically correct apology doesn’t relieve you of being guilty of fanning the flames to make his piece more about antisemitism than it was intended. I bet you do want this to be over. Okay its over but know that what you did is not forgotten.

  • Mr Robert Anton Novak February 19, 2016, 5:16 am

Don’t care, I know Uncle Ted isn’t bigoted, the left will make him out to be, but honestly, after 67 years of honoring the Constitution, do you really believe that one day he just woke up and said, “Today, I’m going to hate Jews”? I don’t.

  • Todd February 19, 2016, 5:14 am

The problem with written messages it is not by definition a true form of communication. We have been lead to believe it is. Communication exits when 2 or more people have an exchange of words. If people took offense to something said but did not ask for the reference then there was no communication conducted. There is an old rule concerning the word “assume”. All should remember that before committing to judging others when they fail to ask appropriate questions. People would not get as angry if they actually communicated.

  • Jeff Knox February 19, 2016, 3:50 am

Looking at the meme as it appears in this article, without blowing it up or zooming in, would you immediately recognize its antisemitism? JPFO has sent around a similar meme in the past with a quote from Aaron Zelman calling the folks pictured “bagel brains.” I’m sure Ted has seen that before, and possibly thought this was it, or a variation of it.
When I communicated with Ted about this, one of the things he mentioned was that he was using his phone. Unfortunately, i was working on a deadline for something else and we didn’t have time to dig into details. It wasn’t clear whether he had “shared” the meme via his phone, but it seems likely. Which means that what he would have seen would have been similar to the image embedded above. The text overlaying the pictures, the “Jew York” comment, etc. would not have been legible.
I think he made a mistake, and then didn’t at first understand what had happened, and made more mistakes. I think he handled the whole thing rather poorly, but I think his wrath was aimed at the anti-rights leaders pictured, not some Jewish conspiracy or Jews as a whole.
I appreciate the Zelman Partisans for clearing the air somewhat.
    Let’s move on.
