Nikon’s new Black Force 100 is a 1-6x24mm scope with an illuminated center dot and MOA reticle.

Nikon’s new riflescope is a worthy consideration. It’s simple to use but has all the features you’re looking for in a tactical scope, and the new mount to match is excellent as well.

It’s got a generous 44mm eyepiece.

Warranty

So many people I talk to cite certain brands’ warranty as the main reason they purchased the binos or scopes they now own. Interestingly, all the optics I’ve looked at lately have the same lifetime, no-questions-asked warranty. Nikon gives this warranty on all their glass, as does Vortex, Leupold, Vanguard, and others. I wish Nikon gave this warranty for their cameras! So be sure to get the scope you need, not just the one that will repair it if you break it.

Black Force 100 Riflescope

The Black Force 100 is a 1-6 power scope with a 24mm objective lens, a 30mm body, and an illuminated center point and MOA reticle. They boast it’s a true 1x so that you can use both eyes open to acquire targets and use the red center point like a red dot scope. Zoom in to 6x and the MOA markings etched into the glass will allow you to accurately hold for elevation and windage. The eye relief varies only 1/10th of an inch as you zoom so you don’t have to adjust your cheek weld.

The MOA reticle can be used at 6x power to accurately hold for elevation and windage.

The scope appears well made and easy to use. The turret caps are fairly low profile with coarse knurling for an easy grip. The illumination knob has half stops that power it off in between each brightness increase which makes it easier to dial on.

Black Cantilever Mount

You’ll be able to mount your scope using the Black cantilever mount. This looks really good and is machined as a single piece from a billet of aluminum so it’ll remain true even after lots of use. It fits Picatinny rails and the Mil-Spec 1.2″ clamp takes 65 in/lb of torque. It comes as a straight unit or with 20 MOA cant. I’m actually more intrigued by the mount than the scope. MSRP on the scope is $649.95, and the mount is listed at $139.95. Both are available now from Nikon.

I ‘am tired of these scope companies telling small sellers that if you don’t have a brick & mortar store you can not buy there products for resale.
