Nightforce Optics, well known for building durable, rugged riflescopes purpose-built to withstand harsh, extreme conditions, has introduced two new scopes for 2016.
The first is a new addition to the very successful (Shooter Hunter Varminter) SHV family of riflescopes, the SHV 4-14×50 F1. This scope delivers first focal plane performance in a versatile package suitable for a wide range of shooting applications.
The SHV 4-14×50 F1 brings a first focal plane option to the SHV family. First focal plane gives the shooter the option of precisely holding for elevation and wind at any magnification setting by using the intelligence built into the reticle. This SHV is offered with a choice of either the MOAR or MIL-R reticle. Both reticle options are standard with illumination.

Additionally, this has a 4-14x magnification range that offers an excellent combination of field of view and resolving power at higher magnification in a 50mm diameter lens. The overall length is 14.8 inches, and the optic weighs in at 30 ounces. With this new addition, Nightforce is offering their same precision quality at an affordable price coming in just south of $1,300.

The Nightforce Fixed 42 x 44

The second new offering is the Nightforce Competition Fixed 42 x 44 riflescope. This riflescope is designed for short range competitive shooting, where weight is an issue. By eliminating the inherent weight of a variable-power mechanism, the Competition 42 x 44 weighs just 20.7 ounces, making it an excellent choice for rimfire and air rifle competitors. Its extra-low dispersion (ED) glass provides exceptional resolving power and clarity to the smallest target at extreme ranges.
Every advantage for the serious shooter has been taken into consideration with the inclusion of high-visibility engraving, fast-focus eyepiece, sunshade, and lens covers. This riflescope is being offered in either the Nightforce CTR-2 or CTR-3 reticle. The Nightforce Competition Fixed 42 x 44 retails for $1,795 and is available now.
