The new Olight PL-Mini2 is an updated version of the well-received PL-Mini. The PL-Mini2 features an all aluminum construction with an adjustable sliding rail that can be adjusted to fit most pistol configurations. It uses a CREE LED capable of producing a maximum output of 600 lumens and has a throw distance of 100 meters. The maximum output lasts for about 2 minutes before slowly cutting back the lumens to give you a run time of 1 hour. Micro switches on the back of the light give positive tactile feedback when pressed. They don’t stick out or protrude from the overall form factor, so I don’t have to worry about it turning on when holstering my weapon. A quick detach rail system makes installing and removing the light quick and easy. To my surprise, when the light is locked on the rail it is extremely solid and has no movement. The base of the light has a magnetic charging ring that changes colors indicating the charging status. One of my favorite features is the low battery indicator light. If you don’t use your weapon light often, its good to know when the battery is running low and needs to be charged. I know I’ve had my lights not come on in the past due to old batteries. The PL-Mini2 is available in Black and Desert Tan TODAY and Olight is having an introductory sale at 30% off MSRP. Be on the look out for a full review coming soon to GunsAmerica!
