Honor Defense is working on an enhanced version of their concealed-carry pistol, the new Honor Guard Pro9. A smaller, focused company, Honor Defense exclusively makes small handguns for self-defense and concealed carry.

The upcoming Pro9 follows the same basic pattern as the rest of the Honor Defense lineup with a handful of premium upgrades. Honor Guard pistols are lightweight striker-fired pistols with polymer frames designed to meet the needs of law enforcement for backup as well as personal protection.

The Pro9 has a ported slide to show off its gold barrel and has a matching gold two-piece trigger instead of a frame-mounted safety. The barrel has a recessed crown to ensure accuracy even with a small handgun.

The Pro9 sports the same features as the rest of the Honor Guard lineup including fully ambidextrous controls with twin magazine release buttons, slide release levers. The Pro9 is chambered for 9mm Luger and comes with two extended 10-round magazines and 12-round magazines available separately.

The Pro9 is based on the standard Honor Guard and like it has a 3.2-inch barrel and a snag-free dust cover. Honor Defense also makes “long-slide” versions of their handguns with 3.8-inch models with accessory rails on the frame for lights and laser sights.

The Pro9 comes with a large orange front dot sight and snag-free rear sights standard. Honor Defense will also offer the new-style trigger separately for existing Honor Guard owners.

Pricing is expected to be in the $399 to $449 range with the possibility of lower pricing for Honor Defense fans through their Facebook page. Honor Defense specializes in custom gun runs as well for users looking for different slide and frame colors and finishes.
