Gas Busting Design

One of the key features of the Sledgehammer is its gas-reducing design, which makes shooting more comfortable by minimizing gas blowback. The charging handle features a higher raised shelf at the rear of the upper receiver, effectively blocking gas from reaching the shooter’s face. This is especially useful for suppressed setups where gas blowback can be a significant issue and a health hazard. The innovative keyway cutout prevents gas from flowing over the rear shelf, further enhancing the shooting experience.

Additionally, the back pressure port and aggressive relief cuts on the top and bottom of the handle direct gases away from the face

The internal baffling inside the stem creates turbulence to slow gas expansion, which helps to keep gas away from the shooter. Additionally, the back pressure port and aggressive relief cuts on the top and bottom of the handle direct gases away from the face, reducing irritation during rapid fire. These features make the Sledgehammer an excellent choice for shooters looking for enhanced comfort, control, and performance.

The Sledgehammer comes in several color options, including Black, FDE (Flat Dark Earth), and OD Green, allowing you to match it with your AR build. Specially-timed flutes act as opposing I-beams, providing structural integrity while reducing mass and maintaining optimal barrel harmonics. The Trident Barrel is lighter than leading carbon fiber barrels without the risk of delamination. Everyone is running suppressed these days, why would you even mention a supposedly amazing new handguard and not even mention the internal dimensions?

Will my can fit inside it? If so, it’s interesting, if not, it isn’t as much.

  • Zane November 4, 2024, 7:25 am

I’ve got a couple of the Breek Arms Sledgehammers that I use in my suppressed firearms, and it has been the best for me so far at mitigating gas blowback to the face.
