Aimpoint is famous for their red dot optics and scopes. They set the standard for the entire industry, with optics for just about every application from sport shooting and hunting to elite military operations. To build on this legacy Aimpoint is introducing three new magnifiers to work with their red dots, the 3X-C, 3XMag-1 and 6xMag-1.
The C-model is a commercial optic that keeps prices low where the Mag-1 models are updated versions of their hard-use magnifier, overbuilt to meet military and law enforcement needs.
The three new magnifiers work with the Aimpoint FlipMount and they can be used as a handheld monocular in a pinch. All three magnifiers have adjustable diopters, ranging from +2 to -2 for the C-model and from +3 to -3 for both Mag-1 magnifiers.
The Aimpoint FlipMount is a quick-detach mount held in place with a thumb screw that flips over to the side to put a magnifier in or out of the optical axis. It is offered in two heights to meet user needs and to work with guns with different rail heights.

The Aimpoint 3X-C was designed specifically to work with the commercial-grade Micro H1 and H2 red dots although it will work with other red dots as well. The H1 series is not rated for use with full-auto firearms nor does it have any night vision settings, although it is more affordable, just like the 3X-C.
The 3X-C has a $307 MSRP and will be available in April later this year.
The 3XMag-1 and 6XMag-1 are Aimpoint’s new hard-use magnifiers that offer 3x and 6x magnification, respectively. Capable of withstanding a lot more abuse, the Mag-1 magnifiers also cost more.
The 3XMag-1 has a suggested retail price of $707 and the 6XMag-1 has a list price of $907. Both will be available this July.
Finally a quality magnifier for a good price! The 3X-C for $307 sounds good to me! I’ll be putting it with my micro T1 2MOA, but I’m also concerned about the T1 magnified red dot distortion.
More ridiculous prices from another Optics Company.
We are all a bunch of saps!
Thanks Jon for a clear and concise overview of Aimpoint’s new magnifiers. Great additions to the lineup and great price points. Looking forward to their release.
