This year at SHOT Show 2022 I had a chance to check out the NeoMag ALIAS. Designed initially to address needs in their own lives, they’ve brought their premium holster attachment system to the public. A new way to carry and stow your pistol.
At the heart of the ALIAS System is a Holster Clip and a Receiver, both offered in a couple of different styles. The Holster Clip itself replaces the standard belt clip on your IWB (Inside the Waistband) holster, either appendix or strong side. This clip in turn interfaces with their Receiver, ensuring a positive and secure lock-up. And since the Receiver is offered in a few different configurations, it opens up the real magic of the system.
The Receiver, coming in two different styles, belt mounted or hard mounted, lets you take your one holster, equipped with the Holster Clip, and securely mount it anywhere. Without any added bulk you can carry your holster as normal, IWB or AIWB. The ALIAS System however allows you to move your holster from one receiver to the other.
So let’s say you are going on a road trip or long commute. Wearing that gun while driving might not be the most comfortable. Rather than taking your traditional holster off, or even worse, gun out of the holster, and placing it on the Glove Box, center console or anywhere else, you can quickly and easily remove the holster equipped with the ALIAS Clip and clip it into one of the hard mounts in your vehicle. Securing your pistol and keeping it accessible at the same time.
Sitting down for a long day at your desk? How about quickly and easily removing your holster and moving it to the Receiver you have installed on your desk. This still gives you quick access at your desk, and keeps your pistol safely holstered all the while.
The ALIAS Holster Clip, offered in a low-mount and high-mount position, can be easily installed on almost any kydex holster. And depending on what you are looking for, the Clip and Receivers can be purchased individually or bundled.
