I know, I know, I mentioned it last week, but I can’t help myself from bringing it up again. Obama once told the American people that he would not take our guns. Remember?
“When you all go home and you’re talking to your buddies and you say, ah ‘He wants to take my gun away.’ You’ve heard it here, I’m on television so everybody knows it. I believe in the Second Amendment. I believe in people’s lawful right to bear arms. I will not take your shotgun away. I will not take your rifle away. I won’t take your handgun away,” said Obama, during a campaign stop in a Lebanon, Virginia in 2008.
But now, before he leaves office at the end of 2016, it’s priority number one on his to-do list! He is hoping to disarm America!
Recently, Obama sat down with GQ Magazine for an interview, and was asked if gun control would be a “dominant issue of year eight,” Obama said, “I hope so.”
“We have this weird habit in this culture of mourning and, you know, 48, 72 hours of wall-to-wall coverage, and then…suddenly we move on,” he continued. “And I will do everything I can to make sure that there’s a sustained attention paid to this thing.”
Obama went on to talk about his executive actions, noting that while some of them were carried out, others were stymied by the nation’s gun lobby.
“Well, keep in mind that after Sandy Hook, we put forward 23 executive actions. So we haven’t been asleep at the switch in terms of executive actions that we’ve tried,” said the president. “There are maybe a few more that had to be scrubbed by lawyers because, essentially, with every executive action, we can count on it being challenged by somebody in Congress or, in this case, the NRA.”
Obama then went on to imply that our problem with violence is a product of the number of guns in the country, not the fact that we have drug cartels and gangs and a woeful mental health care system and a suicide problem (two-thirds of gun deaths are self-inflicted).
“The main thing that I’ve been trying to communicate over the last several of these horrific episodes is that, contrary to popular belief, Americans are not more violent than people in other developed countries,” said Obama. “But they have more deadly weapons to act out their rage, and that’s the only main variable that you see between the U.S. and these other countries.”
In Obama’s mind, more guns equal more crime. Yet, if that were the case, he’d have to explain the negative correlation between the rise in gun ownership (coupled with the expiration of Bill Clinton’s ban on those evil, black scary rifles) and the drop in violent crime, property crime and the gun homicide rate. That’s correct. While America’s been gunning up over the past decade with more “military style” rifles, there has been a uniform drop in crime.
Bottom line: Obama doesn’t know what the hell he is talking about. And, he’s hoping to take one last swing at the Second Amendment before hands over the reins to Hillary (I’m desperately hoping she doesn’t win, but I have a bad feeling about it).
I feel sorry for his daughters. They’re the ones who probably get blamed for him at school more than anyone in the world, and he’s not their fault. They too are his victims. Back in the ’90’s and early ’00’s there used to be stories about children divorcing their parents. Maybe I oughta write them a letter suggesting…

In essence, his gun toting Secret Service, the Police with Guns that aid to protect him wherever he goes and all of the armed forces with guns and far greater weapons, because after all, he’s telling us that protection is not necessary. He also doesn’t DEMONIZE Islam in the way he demonizes ALL American gun owners and the “American Gun Culture”, even though the USA produces a MICROSCOPIC number of lawbreakers who commit crimes with guns (when compared with the over 135 Million plus law-abiding gun owners), when one of these isolated acts is committed. So for him it’s OK to demonize Americans for the actions of people who misused guns, but it’s not OK for him to demonize Islam for the hundreds of thousands of its followers who commit organized, regular acts of large-scale murder. What rational and logical human being could make sense of that kind of posture? Clearly, the President has a deep-seated bias and even hatred of Americans and a sympathy and possibly even a LOVE of Islam. Why else would he be blocking arms, ammunition and vehicle shipments, donated by our European and Middle Eastern Allies, to the Kurds, who are also our Allies?

You should not state “Your social, moral and religous upbringing.” in (A) but rather ” Your social, moral or religous upbringing.”, although it could be argued that religion brings out more violence and crime then the other two in many cases (look at the middle east). Further, it can be argued that one can be moral and law abiding without any religious upbringing or orientation at all.
But I agree, the problem is our ponderous and litigious “legal” system which no longer serves any form of justice. Too many lawyers making too much money by dragging things out too long and not doing their jobs properly due to incompetence or sheer laziness. And in some cases, why bother with a trial? The obvious examples are the Giffords shooting and the Aurora Theater shooting. We know who did it, just take them out back and put a 9mm in the back of the neck. Too often is mental competency used as a shield and creates further risk to the public when the perp is “cured’ after a relatively short soujourn in a facility. I don’t want them cured, I want them removed form every being a threat to the public again. If you are that sick, we can’t “fix” you, and sooner or later you will get off your meds and become a rabid animal again. Warehousing is not an option, way too costly in the long term. Execution is quite effective and cost effective if you keep repeated appeals by money grubbing attorneys out of it and if it is done simply and efficiently, like a shot to the back of the head.
No need to talk about humane, none of the crimes committed by these people are, so they do not deserve it. I think that rights and privileges of a society’s citizen no longer apply after a crime as, by committing such crimes, the criminal states that the laws and rules are not applicable to him, therefore none of the protections should be either. Once convicted, rescind all rights. No need for exercise areas, special meals for ethnic groups or entertainment facilities. Put them in a 6×6 cell and there they stay until release, no opening the doors until then. Feed them bread, water and some eggs and cheese and a few assorted fruits and vegetables with no access/need for any utensils, so they can not make weapons. Remove all visitation rights, this is how many get contraband and strict supervision of any legal consultation. Make prison unpleasant, so there is a reason to avoid going back.
Oh, as a more useful mode of execution, vivisection for the purposes of organ harvesting for transplant would help capital offenders pay back some of their debt to society.

I’ve read this before and I’m grateful for the reminder of the downside of gun control throughout history. I will be more vocal & visible in this next year to help preserve our 2nd amendment rights against the liberal war mongers.
For a guy that went to two college’s then Harvard Law, he is not to bright. There are only a few deterents to crime.
a. Your social, moral and religous upbringing.
b. The punishments ordered by the Courts for specific crimes.
The Government at all levels has no positive impact on (a) but has contributed to its decline. The Government has total control of (b) and contols every aspect from law enforcement through trial, sentencing, and incarceration. Only juries and judges (though guided) determine innocence or guilt and make independent decisions. If the level of punishment does not out weigh risk vs gain: crime continues. When risk is further eroded by insufficient LE manpower, heavy case loads in the courts and over crowding/presidential releases, criminals see less long term risk: criminal activity increases. Cities, States and the Federal Government clearly skirt of totally ignore Laws at their choosing some of which led to death of citizens and LE. We the People are not afforded such unlawful latitude.
There is no criminal activity Repeat NO CRIMINAL ACTIVITY: THAT DOES NOT HAVE A CORRESPONDING LAW AND PUNISHMENTS. If you are outraged by the scope of a crime say mass murder of children, increase the punishment, reinstate the death penalty, legislate that in these priority cases, trial starts within one year and each level of appeal must be be filed within 90 days Judgement. Appeals must be completed with one year and further appeals come under the 90 day/one year Rule. If appealed to SCOTUS, they have 90 days to decide if they want to hear the case which would be scheduled within the next 180 days. Death sentances will de scheduled 180 days after judgement and reset after each unsuccessful Appeal. Especially heinous crimes deserve an express lane. It preserves evidence, keeps witnesses fresh and deliveres justice (eiter way) quickly and efficiently for those impacted the most.
Obama, how about you crack down on crime, enforce existing Laws instead of giving early release to criminals that probably plea dealed away the gun or violent crime charges. Building new prisons creates short and long term jobs if you want to get a gold star. Every state needs them. Oh, that also keeps criminals off the street. You can finally do something benificial instead of spending money trying to control livestock flatulence.
