Kimber is adding to its micro pistol lineup with the release of the new CDS9 Classic models.
Following the success of the original CDS9 launched in late 2024, the Alabama-based manufacturer is rolling out the CDS9 Classic and CDS9 Classic OR.

The original CDS9 caught attention for packing full-size performance into a micro-sized package.
It featured a 3-inch barrel, optics cuts, an accessory rail, and shipped with both 13- and 15-round magazines—making it a solid option for concealed carry.
The new CDS9 Classic models keep that same performance but come in a slimmer profile without an optics rail, offering some cost savings for buyers.
Kimber is releasing them in two finish options: Black/Brushed and solid Gray, both with black injection molded grips. Like the original, they’re chambered in 9mm.

Mountie Mizer, Kimber’s VP of Sales, said the Classic models expand the CDS9 micro series by giving shooters more options in the high-capacity micro pistol market.
Both models ship with a 13- and 15-round magazine, ambidextrous controls, a reversible mag release, and come range-ready in a Kimber-branded bag.
The CDS9 Classic joins Kimber’s lineup of 2025 releases, which include the 2K11 Independence, 2K11 SS Target, 1911 Next Generation models, and new Mountain Ascent hunting rifles.
As always, these pistols come with Kimber’s limited lifetime warranty.
