Kimber just rolled out the KDS9c Rail, a fresh take on their popular KDS9c model, now equipped with a picatinny rail and an ambidextrous safety. This launch comes as a direct response to the overwhelming feedback received since the original KDS9c hit the market in April 2023.
Designed to meet the evolving needs of today’s concealed carry owners, the KDS9c Rail is setting the stage for the next generation of hammer fired semi-automatic pistols. This latest model stands out for its readiness to accommodate optics and light attachments.
The KDS9c Rail comes loaded with both a 15-round and an 18-round magazine, featuring an alloy extended base. In terms of optics, it mirrors the legacy KDS9c, offering mounting plates compatible with the Trijicon RMR family, Holosun K, and Vortex Venom red dot optics.
Priced at $1,903, Kimber pitches this model as a top-notch concealed carry option, sporting a blend of features that promise value for money.

It’s not just about firepower; comfort and control are key. The pistol sports an alloy frame crafted from 7075 aerospace grade aluminum, complete with a crosshatch texture on the front strap and grip panels. The trigger pull is tuned to be crisp, ranging from 3.5 to 4.5 pounds, maintaining Kimber’s reputation for quality.
Kimber isn’t stopping at the gun itself. They’ve introduced new high-texture grip scales for an improved hold, and TXC will offer light bearing holsters compatible with Surefire X-300’s, available for both right and left-handed users.
Shipping at the end of January, this model is also available in a 10-round magazine version for states with capacity restrictions.
The KDS9c Rail marks the beginning of an exciting array of new products Kimber has in store for 2024. For more details on the KDS9c Rail or other premium firearms, Kimber invites you to visit their website at kimberamerica.com.
