Killer Mike appeared on the Joe Rogan Podcast this week. During their 3-plus-hour conversation, the two performers discussed many subjects, among them the importance of the Second Amendment.

First comment ever here, I am mostly a reader/observer. I really enjoy this authors articles…until this one. I looked this guy (“Killer Mike”) up and read a little about him (it was enough). This sheds some negative light on this site, to me. He is not worthy of the attention. Too many “decent” people out there to give this attention to. Peace.
He is making a point that blacks were not truly free until segregation was ended. That is the reference to apartheid. You don’t have to agree but he is making a good point. I am 69 years old and have seen a lot that younger people have not. Anyone my age who does not recognize that America of the 1950’s and 1960’s was not great for blacks is blind. One does not have to been a bleeding heart liberal to recognize that. As far as the rap lyrics, I am not a fan but remember that freedom of speech thing. I am much more worried about the socialist left in this country than black rappers.
Mike speaks the truth. First and second amendment supporter. He is correct about 55 years of freedom. Don’t know much about him, but I agree with everything he said here.
Actually LISTEN to the podcast before commenting. The only comment he makes about being black is the “only been free for 55 years due to Aparthied”. I’m a white southerner. He’s saying blacks have only truly been free since 1964, which is when desegregation was mandated by the federal government. There is some truth to that. Yes, blacks have been technically free since the 1863 Emancipation Proclamation, but rights were restricted in nearly all states, not just the south, though admittedly the south held out longest. Historically he’s accurate. Doesn’t say anything negative or non-factual. Doesn’t claim to have any racial hatred directed at him even. So try listening to the podcast instead of just thinking he’s a black rapper who is stupid. If the words quoted are in his songs well, that’s stupid. While I’m sure there are a few racists police, I would have to think that MOST are not, at least no more than the average person, and would do their job regardless of race. More blacks are in jail in some states because more are doing the crimes and getting caught, not because of racism. Might it be that more are poor? Yes, but that’s a different story.
Black are at the point in this country, in which they need to have better access to better education. Beyond that, they have to start long themselves. The divide in this country should not be one of race, and I believe that it is, simply because a lot of black people say that it is. The divide is between the haves and the have nots. A difference in earning potential is needed, to give incentive to people to create, and to work harder, to try harder, but the divide right now is way too big. When the to 2% hold 90% of the wealth, the possibility of revolution grows everyday. That is why they are taking gun right, one by one, and they are using their control over the left to do it. You have to admit, they have gotten really smart over the years, while all that we have done is put more and more money into a lobbying group that is quickly losing its bite. We need to “grow our own” legal counsel and we need to go after these stupid laws and regulations. If we let them make bump stocks illegal, we will have lost a major battle. We cannot allow them to start making plastic pieces illegal, for which they’re is no true definition of, and that are clearly stated by the ATF to be illegal and with a good reason as to why they are not. Once you allow laws to be put into place that are open to interpretation, and give the police and local courts the ability to make judgement calls, you have opened a van of worms that you may never be able to put the lid back on. If we do not unite, and call them out every time they do these things, and sacrifice ourself in defense of these rights, by making them charge and arrest us, so that we can challenge them in a court of law, then we are going to end up with nothing but sticks and stones to defend ourselves with.

Mike is a informed gun owner who speaks truth. Loved his comments on the five guns everyone should have. He is an articulate man who speaks common sense. As for the other comments here I don’t understand what your problem is with him. He’s on the side of the good guys so why the hate?
