Iver Johnson had some very unique pieces on display at SHOT Show 2017.
HP18: Semi-Auto Pistol Grip Shotgun
To start the party, and what caught our attention in the first place, was the new HP18, a 12-gauge, pistol-grip semiautomatic shotgun. You don’t often see pistol-grip, semiauto-scatter guns because the recoil spring is typically located in the buttstock.
Iver Johnson has solved this problem, and they’ve done so without breaking the bank.
The best part is, with just the push of a button, the pistol grip version converts back to a fully stocked version. This is pretty cool. It goes from a pantry, home-invader stopper to a field gun in seconds.

Next, what Iver Johnson is most known for, 1911’s. This year brought some beautiful new editions in the snakeskin line. All of these firearms have not only a snakeskin themed hydro-dip, but engraved grips to match. Pick your favorite serpent or your region.

Pocket Ace 4 Derringer .22LR
Probably my favorite new offering this year is the Pocket Ace, a 4-barrel derringer chambered in .22LR.
This is a neat innovation, as it features a 4-barrel pepperbox-style setup. The firing pin rotates, giving you 4 shots. This thing is tiny, something you have to hold in your hand to believe. This is a great little backup gun.

I am interested in a 4 barrel derringer…..are they available? If not when can I purchase one or two.
Thank you. Jeanne
When are the 4 barrel derringer going to be coming out
Thanks James Bell
I’d like to see a percussion version. I have a 5 shot NAA .22 with a revolving cylinder and it’s a US company. These do look cool however and like the way they break to load
how do i get this gun 4 barrel derringer
This Iver Johnson pocket gun is similar to the Erl Svendsen four aces that shoots 22shorts. The gun has four barrels and a rotating firing pin. It also has a hardened brass frame.
This Iver Johnson
According to their website, the shotguns are made in Turkey and the 1911s are made in the Philippines. It’s not the old Iver Johnson, just a brand name being used by an importer. Still, it’s good that the Pocket Ace .22 will be made in the U.S., but I wonder who will do the actual manufacturing.
Amazing how history can repeat itself. This looks to a near exact remake of a Sharps and Hankins derringer, a favorite of gamblers and “soiled doves ” of the old west. S and H made them in .22, .30, and .32 rimfire models.
Does anyone make a double barrel SXS pistol grip shotgun like the legal pumps made by Mossberg?
I would like information on the Pocket Ace/4 barrel .22 when it becomes available.
I believe Mossberg made a 4 barrel .22 LR with a revolving firing pin called the “Brownette” years ago. It was even more compact but you hardly ever see them nowadays
Make the derringer convertible with 22 magnum & 22 lr barrels.
Iver Johnson still exit ? Who knew?
