Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR) is excited to introduce the lightweight, compact Ruger® LC Carbine™ chambered in 5.7x28mm. The compact nature of this carbine owes to its bolt-over-barrel design and feeding through the grip. The Ruger LC Carbine has a full 16.25″ barrel, features a reversible side-folding stock adjustable for length of pull, and is compatible with Picatinny rail-mounted accessory stocks. The stock and Rapid Deploy adjustable sights can be folded for storage.
Utilizing the same magazines and controls as the innovative Ruger-5.7™ pistol, the LC Carbine is the ultimate range companion. Even when using typical 40 grain 5.7x28mm jacketed bullets, this high-performing carbine’s felt recoil is comparable to a .22 LR. Like the Ruger-5.7 pistol, the LC Carbine utilizes Ruger’s safe, reliable and proven Secure Action™ fire-control mechanism that combines a protected internal hammer with a bladed-safety trigger that has a short, smooth pull, clean break and positive reset. The fluted, nitride-coated alloy steel barrel is durable and lightweight and allows for the attachment of standard muzzle accessories.
Ruger President and CEO, Chris Killoy, took time out at the range with the new LC Carbine and says, “I can’t describe how ergonomic the LC Carbine feels in your hands. You have to experience it on the range to really appreciate how it balances and moves. The controls are intuitive and conveniently located, and the lack of felt recoil makes it hard to put down.”

I am a ruger fan geezer but the one who gets my idol worship will be the on who can make centerfire ammo as cheap as 1990s 22lr. this little gun would be great if you could pay even as much as 5-10$ for 50rds of practice ammo. sadly ammo is more costly than 9mm. for now at least
Why not stick with the regular PS90 magazine? It holds alot more ammunition. Most people I know cannot reach and activate the magazine release without changing their hand hold position with regular pistol magazines. I am included in this list.
Local dealer is nice too Leo’s so I got one simply because he did $775 out the door. It’s a fun little gun, yes ammo is expensive so I haven’t ran it all day but enough to know it’s reliable and accurate enough for me. It’s about a 2 moa gun for me with a Burris 1-4 MTAC scope and an old Huntertown rimfire suppressor I’ve had forever which happened to be 5.7 rated. I think it would shoot tighter but the dot in the scope is big so I think the reticle is holding me back a little. I ended up putting it by the back door where we’ve had coyotes venture into the yard before when our dogs are outside. For that purpose of capping coyotes at a max range of 71 yards in my backyard, I feel fine with it. I also have the pistol, so I just kinda wanted it…but I don’t think I would have paid more.
KelTec P50=YES Ruger=NO No No
I stand by MY opinion that Ruger should stick to what it does best and it AINT rifles………..
I wouldn’t own a KelTec anything… the epitome of cheap quality!
I haven’t looked at the laws in a while, but this just might be legal in California due to the fact it feeds through the grip. Most PCCs are not.Not really thrilled with the selection of caliber however. Yes, it is an excellent round for the intended purpose, but is in limited and expensive supply.
Ummm… NO !!! Just NO !!!
Not the best round. PERIOD !!!
Besides… if you’re going THAT WAY … go full bore STAR GATE , PS-90…
great commercial …..except to suggest msrp
Might be just the thing for ridding varmints around the property. Rural aint so rural anymore. Although it was never designed as such it is in the varmint caliber class. A good scope and handloading dies, plus suppressor- I take it will accept one?- and your in business.
