Former Tulsa Police Officer: ‘I Will Not Comply’ with Gun Ban

If the federal government ever decides to ban modern sporting rifles or institute a mandatory buyback scheme vis-a-vis New Zealand, Dianna Muller will not comply.

The retired Tulsa, Oklahoma police officer said precisely that while giving testimony before a House Judiciary Committee hearing on outlawing “assault rifles” in September.

“Please don’t legislate the 150 million people just like me into being criminals. It has happened. You’ve already done it,” Muller said, referencing the Trump administration’s ban on bump stocks that forced owners to either destroy them, turn them over to the government or else face prosecution for unlawful possession of a “machinegun.”

“I was a bump stock owner, and I had to make a decision: do I become a felon, or do I comply?  Like that gentleman that just got escorted out, I will not comply,” Muller continued.

A decorated competitive shooter, Muller also noted that more people are killed with hammers and blunt objects than all rifles combined, according to FB statistics. “So it doesn’t make sense to me that this is going to solve the problem.”

Muller’s message went viral.  The national media ran coverage of her testimony and her “I will not comply” became a rallying cry for like-minded gun owners.

This week, a local station in her hometown of Tulsa asked her if she expected her statement to garner so much attention.

“In that whole testimony, was ‘I will not comply,’ as powerful for you as it came across?” asked ABC Channel 8’s Maureen Wurtz.

“That was a powerful statement for sure. It was not in the script,” said Muller.

“This was not on my radar; this was not something I had planned to do,” Muller added. “I say I was an ‘accidental advocate’ just because I was becoming more aware, and the language I was hearing was concerning me.”

The language she was referring to was coming from the Democrats running for president.  All of them have advocated for tougher gun laws while on the campaign trail and during the debates.

“The media is focused on rifles. If you listen to any Democratic debate, you are going to hear every one of them champion for restricting our rights, specifically the AR-15,” explained Muller.

Looking ahead, Muller believes that there is an incremental attack on the 2A.  Little by little politicians are trying to erode our right to keep and bear arms, a new red-flag law here, a ban on “high-capacity” magazines there.

“It happens so death by a thousand cuts,” observed Muller. “I said that while I was testifying. You don’t fool me. I see what’s coming.”

To beat back the coming onslaught Muller’s doing her part to educate lawmakers in Washington about the many, many positive sides to America’s gun culture as a representative for the nonpartisan DC Project.

Between her testimony and her activism, we have to say kudos to Muller for fighting the good fight! Hopefully, she inspires more gun owners to join in. And if it ever comes to it — I will not compy, either.

Its a proven fact crime is lower where citizens have greater gun rights. You want higher crime? Take away the rights. The real purpose is for one world government socialism/marxist/communists rule. Like China/Venuezula similar to Mexico, love high crime just remove the guns.

“Death by 1,000 cuts”. That tells it how it is. It’s a slow, slow, but deliberate process. They take a little here and there, slowly, until one day we realize it is too late to do anything to stop them. That is what we must keep in mind. And that is why we all must constantly be pro-active for our interests and against theirs so we can preserve our rights and interests as they are and as our forefathers intended them to be..

“What country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance. Let them take arms.”

It’s not about “solving the problem”. It’s about disarming the American Citizens!
    ***
Armed persons are Citizens. Cross them at your own extreme risk!
    ***
Unarmed persons are Subjects of the State. Whom can be abused at will by criminals and / or an out of control government.

Well said. The government will slowly chip away at our rights bit by bit.

First it’s the high capacity mags, then it’s bump stocks, etc etc. They get away with it because most folks think ‘well I don’t need one of those’ and ‘this won’t affect me’. This debate will never end and the sooner we become aware of it the better.

And, those bans will not make anyone safer. When driving change/improvement a pareto Diagram is developed based on the most significant reasons to the least. High Cap Mags, bump stocks, AR15s are so low on that charts bars any trained troubleshooter would ignore them. It is a waste of resources and effort to address them if the problem was truly firearms. They would go after 9mm handguns based on logic and most frequent tool used in a firearms related crime. However, the true problem is a human criminal or sick human.

It amazes me how everybody always says that, “the government” is doing all of this to us, what it truly is in fact we the people that are the government but we choose to collectively sit on our complacent asses and not take the responsibility and duty to MAINTAIN our government officials and MAINTAIN OUR COUNTRY!

“Representatives” cannot do a damn thing unless we the people say they can? But if we the people don’t engage our Representatives constantly, daily they will end up doing whatever they want and that is why every country you should collapses in about 250 years average.

John Kay and Steppenwolf produced a song; “Suicide / America” back in 1970.

It would behoove you ALL to read the lyrics and heed the warning that John Kay brought to us from West Germany!
