Available for purchase now, Garmin brought out its new Xero A1i PRO Bow Sight to SHOT Show 2022. I believe this is going to make a huge splash in the bowhunting space by providing users with the quick ballistic calculations needed for a perfect shot even after the bow has been drawn.

Garmin is offering four different models of this sight to include the A1, A1I, A1I Pro, and A1I Pro – HOYT. These are all available as either left or right-hand versions straight from the factory. The Xero A1i Pro comes with the following in the box:

  • Xero A1i PRO bow sight (right- or left-handed depending on version selected)
  • Mount (Hoyt version includes Picatinny mount)
  • Protective bag
  • 2 AAA lithium batteries
  • 3 Allen hex keys
  • 2 screws
  • Grip tape
  • microUSB cable
  • Documentation

Able to range distances of up to 300 yards on reflective targets, and 100 yards to game, the Xero A1i Pro will more than have you covered for any shots you attempt. Garmin says this sight will work from -4 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. It is also waterproof and rated to meet IPX7 standards, so hunting in the rain shouldn’t be an issue.

This sight ranges targets quickly, and it is easy to align the laser range finder with the centerline of the bow using the onboard arrow markings in the display.

After setting up and saving your arrow profiles into the sight, you will be able to change from your practice to hunting calibration in seconds. The Xero A1i Pro features a dynamic level, customizable arrow profiles, dual-color LED pins for different fixed distances, and more.

Manual adjustments that can turn with clicks for calculated holds after zeroing.

Utilizing a silent trigger, this sight can quietly and quickly range your target via a wired pressure pad you can place anywhere on your bow.

After ranging, the sight will automatically adjust the red dot in the window to the correct location so all you have to do is place the dot on the target and let it fly.

For those familiar with red dots, this is basically the same concept with somewhere around a 1 MOA dot, that automatically adjusts elevation for you after ranging. Utilizing a straightforward and easy-to-read display, your range and holdover are clearly marked.

Maybe on crossbow? I been shooting bows of one form or another for 60 years and wouldn’t care to have this hanging off the front.
