The Quail Creek Plantation is up for sale for $25 million. The hunting and fishing lodge and resort spans 3,150 acres with a 14-acre lake full of largemouth bass.
The Quail Creek Plantation has four quail courses, naturally, along with dove and pheasant fields with a tower for continental shoots. Also the resort has 400 acres of high-fenced game fields and animal facilities capable of housing 4,000 birds and as many as 60 dogs.
For non-hunters, beginner shooters and shotgun enthusiasts the Quail Creek Plantation also has grounds for sporting clays with two automated 14-station sporting clay courses and a 7-station sub-gauge course.
The lodge, in Okeechobee, also includes a 5,000-square-foot owner’s residence and an 8,000-square-foot guest lodge along with 11 guest cabins and housing for staff.
“Quail Creek is a trophy asset like no other,” said Nash Luxury in the listing. “This is an unprecedented opportunity for someone who covets the sportsman’s lifestyle to own one of the largest tracts of land in Florida.”
“This diverse sporting destination and residence puts as much emphasis on heritage as hunting and is the result of decades of considerate stewardship,” it continues.
“From world-class upland hunting for quail and pheasant, wild Osceola turkey, trophy white-tail deer, largemouth bass, and even a world-class sporting clays complex, Quail Creek Plantation has a memorable challenge waiting for every sportsman.”
The plantation is open to the public and is used for public and private shooting events, as well as weddings, partings and reunions. The sporting clay ranges are used to generate income for the property year-round.

The hunting plantation was built up over the years by Florida businessman Whit Hudson, who died in 2018. Hudson’s original property was 2,200 acres starting in 1998, and he expanded it over the next two decades.
“Quail Creek Plantation was a true labor of love for my father,” Steve Hudson said. “It started as a place to escape and entertain friends, then evolved into his second home. Now it’s time for the next chapter in Quail Creek’s history and for an outdoor enthusiast to enjoy this property with friends and family – as we did for more than two decades.”
The plantation is located about halfway between Palm Beach and Orlando in Florida, about 150 miles north of Miami.
