As a hunter and conservationist, harvesting bears is an important aspect of sound wildlife management practices. Having the ability to construct a bait site on public land- where it is legal, is a great way to hunt bears. Below are my top 5 tips for baiting bears on public land that have worked for me.

Weighing less than 7.5 pounds, the Wing Shot is perfect for new shooters. The lightweight, low noise level and the lack of recoil will let you shoot all day without a sore shoulder and you can hear your coach because you don’t need ear muffs.

Turkeys: Public Land Diplomacyby Jake Wallace |
We have all looked in the rear-view mirror while driving at 3:30 in the morning on the way to the local parking lot, only to get that sinking feeling in your gut when you see headlights. Alaskan Mountain Goat Hunt: Cold, Wet and Exhaustedby Riley Baxter |
As all good stories begin, it all started when someone threw out a crazy Idea: “Let’s go shoot a mountain goat in Alaska.” said Ben jokingly, yet serious. I don’t think he ever expected Don to agree. Reviewed: Bushnell Prime Spotting Scopeby Clay Martin |
Bushnell has been all over the map in recent years, in terms of levels of products. They have spent a lot of time solidifying their place at the table on high-end products, like the XRS and HDMR, both contenders in military circles. Then they will turn around and introduce sub $200 scopes, such as the Engage series. It can get a bit, well, confusing. So I am very happy with what seems to be a recent change to the product lines.
