This year at SHOT Show, Bergara revealed three new rifles: the Ridge Carbon, HMR Carbon, and Crest. These new guns round out Bergara’s lineup by offering affordable, high-end hunting rifle options that are lightened up with the incorporation of carbon fiber.
These guns range from $1,399.00 to $1,999.00 and each offering brings something new to the table. All of these rifles are currently shipping to dealers.
Ridge Carbon Wilderness Series
The Ridge Carbon is the most affordable of the three rifles that Bergara released this year. This rifle begins at an MSRP of $1,599.00. It’s offered in 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC, .308 Winchester, and .300 Win Mag.
This is a very nice, basic hunting rifle that features a carbon fiber barrel. It weighs 6.4 lbs or more, depending on the caliber. This gun will likely be a shooter, considering the good reputation that Bergara’s barrels have.
The Ridge Carbon comes with a 20-24″ carbon fiber barrel, depending on caliber, a Sniper Grey Cerakote finish, and an American Style Synthetic stock with SoftTouch Finish.
It also comes with Bergara’s own trigger, which breaks crisply and feels amazing, as well as a hinged floor plate that matches the gun’s sleek, no-frills design. And, of course, the rifle comes with a sub-MOA guarantee.

HMR Carbon Wilderness Series
The HMR Carbon features the same great action and carbon fiber barrel that the Ridge Carbon has, and even comes in the same four calibers; 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC, .308 Winchester, and 300 Win Mag. It comes with 20-22″ barrel lengths and Sniper Grey Cerakote.
However, the stock and magazine are a major difference. The HMR Carbon can be had for $1,850.00.
The HMR Carbon comes with Bergara’s HMR Molded stock with Mini-Chassis. This system keeps things as lightweight and rigid as possible while offering maximum adjustability in the cheekpiece and length-of-pull.
This gun also comes with an AICS-style detachable magazine. I’m a big fan of the original HMR, but this gun is about 2 lbs lighter (7.5 Lbs) which makes me like this model even more. The HMR Carbon also comes with a sub-MOA guarantee.
B-14 Squared Crest
And last, but not least, the B-14 Squared Crest rifle, which is the first of its new series. This gun has a starting weight of 6.8 lbs and goes up to 7.2 lbs, depending on what caliber and barrel length you choose.
This rifle has a different stock design; it’s made from carbon fiber with a lightweight fill, but it is different than all stocks that I am aware of because it has a carbon fiber I beam inside of the stock. This makes the stock more rigid while maintaining a low weight.
Like the others, it is also offered in the 4 calibers mentioned previously. The MSRP is $1,999.00 for all options.
The barrel of the Crest is 20-22 inches long and only comes in 4140 CrMo steel. The finish is a Sniper Grey Cerakote and the stock is 100% carbon fiber with a unique carbon spine. Like the HMR Carbon, the Crest also has an AICS-style detachable magazine.
