I have to agree with alexjay, I finally decided to build the stripped lower I have had for years after Hornady came out with 6 ARC. They are the only people who manufacture the brass and they refuse to make it available to reloaders. I contacted them in October looking for brass and was told they were only releasing their match load in a couple months. My advise is wait until you see components available before you think about this round. Hornady is dropping the ball on their own round. I really doubt the 7 will be any more successful than the 6 as unless you want to make your brass from something else it is not available.
The 7mm PRC has basically the same ballistic numbers as the 7mm Weatherby! The 7mm B was created in 1940! Hmmm, is the 7mm PRC really the best thing out there or is it a new 7mm B, 80 years later!
If you dont already have a 7mm….I guess. What can this cartridge do that my 7mm08 of 7mm Rem Magnum cant do? Oh wait- they’re old, not hip, uncool ,and most importantly not being hawked by the Madison Avenue marketeer’s.
They have this being released and I haven’t even seen a 6mm ARC round yet. (Yes, I have been looking)
I contacted Hornady asking about brass and was told all the brass was going to production ammo and their match ammo would be available soon and other to follow
What if you have a 7 mm ultra mag? Will the existing action work with the 7 mm PRC if you change out the barrel?
