If you were wondering when someone was going to release an AK derringer, the answer is right now.
Who wouldn’t want a single-shot 7.62x39mm pocket pistol? And I think that was the question Heizer Defense was asking when it started developing the “Pocket AK” PAR1.
The tiny pistol packs a surprising punch with a muzzle velocity of 1,200 feet per second. Not bad considering the incredibly short barrel, which is ported by the way to help with felt recoil. However, I’m pretty sure it’s still going to kick like a mule.
Heizer also has an AR derringer out chambered in .223, and now the company is offering swappable barrels to convert an AR to AK and the other way around.
The PAK1 will set you back $449 – a small price to pay for a pocket pistol capable of belching a massive fireball along with a 7.62 round.
It’s now shipping!

PASS!
Shot a 45-70 out of a heavy derringer once.
After that I called it “the dumb ass gun.”
Betting this would be a kissin’ cousin 🙂
Just the thing for winning knife fights.
