Moyock, NC June 24, 2019 Honored American Veterans Afield (HAVA) and ACADEMI Corp announce the very successful completion of their 8th Annual HAVA/ACADEMI Family Day at the ACADEMI 4,000-acre training facility in Moyock, NC (formerly Blackwater). Threatened by thunder storms that never arrived, nearly 300 disabled veterans, family members, kids and volunteers participated in this all-day event which featured 8 shooting stages on the range, 2 meals, gift bags, kids events and a police attack-dog demonstration. After dinner, each attending child won a raffle prize and the event was capped with a free raffle for disabled veterans, where many won very substantial prizes including 14 guns from contributing sponsor companies including Sig Sauer, Glock, Ruger, FN and SCCY.
