This is great news! Every penny counts when it comes to veterans. Here is a press release courtesy of HAVA:

Longmeadow, MA – November 4, 2014 Honored American Veterans Afield (HAVA) announces receipt of a $4,000 donation from the Gun Bloggers Rendezvous (GBR) as the result of their gun and accessory raffle at their 9th annual Rendezvous held for 4 days in early September at the Silver Legacy Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada.

“HAVA is a worthy cause for all gun bloggers and their readers, and GBR is pleased to have facilitated this award as a result of merchandise donations from many of the leading shooting sports manufacturers, distributors and dealers,” said GBR Executive Director Mike Gallion. “Support for veterans is at the heart of our industry’s instincts, and HAVA does a great job with both disabled veterans and their families.”

“The Gun Bloggers Rendezvous’s donation to the HAVA mission will support disabled veterans in our shooting and hunting events, in a pro-gun environment consistent with both GBR’s mission to promote interest in firearms and our dozens of sponsors from the gun and outdoor industries. Whereas some large veteran’s charities support weakening of our 2nd Amendment rights, HAVA is at the forefront of the traditional view as the only veterans charity that is solely sponsored by shooting sports companies and their volunteers. We and our sponsors speak to veterans and their families with one voice in support of our traditional constitutional rights. Our 19 sustaining sponsors and dozens of other contributors are strong HAVA supporters, and many of them contributed to the GBR event.”
