Elon Musk kicked the hornets’ nest this week when he posted the above picture to Twitter.
Gun-control activists immediately went into a frenzy, chiding the world’s richest man for, among other things, his “irresponsible firearm practices.”
It is disturbing to see @elonmusk using his platform to model irresponsible firearm practices.

8 kids a day are unintentionally injured or killed with an improperly stored firearm.
As a parent, you should focus on sharing safe firearm storage methods. cc: @endfamilyfire https://t.co/T1xvCw5AoA

Anyone who glorifies leaving unsecured guns around the house is part of a uniquely American problem that kills 100+ people per day, and is the leading cause of death of children https://t.co/YiuyvjA9hY pic.twitter.com/oh8gk1dkD3

Of course, their outrage is deeply misguided.
What a law-abiding man does in the privacy of his home is his business, to say nothing of the fact that what’s pictured is a toy gaming gun and a non-firing replica gun from a George Washington commemorative box set.
Apart from highlighting the ignorance of anti-gunners, Elon’s pic also showed the hostility that comes with publicly supporting gun ownership, albeit even if it’s in jest (see tweet below).

For whatever reason, some individuals cannot tolerate the fact that Musk doesn’t walk lockstep with other wealthy elites who view the 2A as a privilege reserved for a favored class, (mainly them, their security detail, law enforcement, and the military).

When someone with Elon’s clout comes out in support of the Constitution, many of these individuals come unglued.

It makes little sense.
Elon is trying to empower the people, both through restoring the free and open exchange of ideas on Twitter and standing up for one’s right to keep and bear arms.
In fact, this is not the first time Musk has explicitly done the latter.
Back in May, Musk told CNBC, “I strongly believe that the right to bear arms is an important safeguard against potential tyranny of government. Historically, maintaining their power over the people is why those in power did not allow public ownership of guns.”
Bingo! That is precisely why the 2A was enshrined in the U.S. Constitution.
Musk, even with his odd sense of humor, should be applauded — not pilloried — for supporting individual rights.

Every time I see a non-firing flint lock pistol, my blood just boils. Next, he’ll be putting a bump stock on it.
Wow, the clown show that is the left isn’t funny anymore, they should all be in shackles heading to prison.
Not into cosplay, so wasent able to I.D. the revolver source other than as not one i’d care to shoot (uncomfortable-looking grips, for a start) but fake gun does cover all the bixxarre details visible. The blackpowder pistol, well, the antigun crowd would be ignernt enuff to assume those get left around loaded! He has opened up a flood of people unafraid to let you know what they think of you, anonymously. Or, at least until their boss strolls thru their social media acct! Bit confused at first, tho, on account of the hellcat ad up there where where the story says “posted the above”, but the slow refresh eventually corrected that. “We work with the system we have, not the one we want”
The smell of lib tears in the morning smells like,,,,,victory !
Way to go Elon. That’s a good start to see who has sense and who is an idgit.
Most dangerous thing on the table was the Diet Coke… that sh*t will definitely kill you…
We live in an age where intelligent people are silenced so as not to offend the stupid.
But it’s so much fun to trigger the Stupid!
