Tech Billionaire Elon Musk recently voiced his support for the Second Amendment on X.com.
He responded to a user named “End Wokeness,” who observed, “The past 3+ years have been one long infomercial for the 2nd amendment.”
In reply, Musk highlighted the role armed citizens play in safeguarding our democratic way of life.
Musk wrote, “As tragic as the mass shootings are, armed citizens are essential to the defense of democracy.”

This isn’t the first time Elon has defended the 2A publicly. GunsAmerica covered his previous comments last year when the Tesla founder spoke to CNBC.

“I strongly believe that the right to bear arms is an important safeguard against potential tyranny of government,” he explained.
“Historically, maintaining their power over the people is why those in power did not allow public ownership of guns,” he added.
Musk is right, of course. Oppressive regimes thrive with disarmed populations. Tyrants love an unarmed citizenry. It’s the best way to ensure they remain in power. It also makes it easier for them to take out their enemies.
Musk’s reference to history is not without precedent. In the late 1930s for example, Hitler continued a policy of civil disarmament, specifically targeting Jews. The Nazis implemented the 1938 German Weapons Act, which prohibited Jews from owning firearms and other weapons.
This disarmament made Jewish communities vulnerable. They couldn’t defend themselves against subsequent persecution, leading to tragic events like Kristallnacht.

Anti-gun politicians love to parrot the line that, “Weapons of war have no place on the streets of a civil society” (see Vice President Kamala Harris’ tweet above). They’re dead wrong! Small arms do belong in the hands of law-abiding citizens.
We know this because we’ve seen the alternative. It’s a reality where governments, despots, terrorists can run rough-shod over entire communities with impunity.
History speaks clearly: a disarmed populace is a vulnerable one. The right to bear arms serves not just as a constitutional right, but as a protection against those who would exploit the defenseless

Which guns are labeled as assault weapons? Who defines the definition. Gun manufacturers? Owner? Politicians? Are assault weapons used by secret service? Newsom’s body guards? Are they on the streets?
Thank you Mr. Musk. To those who took umbrage to him stating that we are a democracy, a federal republic is a form of democracy.

Forgive me for going out on a limb here, BUT I suspect THAT IF We the People of Mexico (yeah that Mexico) had an equivalent of our Second Amendment there wouldn’t be so much political corruption, murders and drug cartels down south of the border, down Mexico way.
