Adding options to the previous line of Delta 5 Pro rifles, Daniel Defense released the shorter 16-inch Delta 5 Pro at SHOT Show 2022. Offering shorter barrels with a 0.5 MOA guarantee with factory match-grade ammo, this new line of Delta 5 Pro’s is built to perform!
Buyers can score barrel lengths from 16-20 inches chambered in either .308 or 6.5 Creedmoor. Barrels are also interchangeable and made so that swapping calibers is easy due to a proprietary barrel nut. Finished with a black Cerakote, these barrels should hold up well against the elements.
Incorporating a Timney Elite Hunter trigger, the interface on this rifle is fantastic. We got to dry fire it on the SHOT Show floor and the trigger was fantastic. Daniel Defense also added an ergonomic thumb rest that can be installed on the left or right-hand side.
The action is mechanically-bedded stainless steel with an integral recoil lug. This rifle features a three-lug bolt with a floating bolt head and a 60-degree throw. The oversized bolt knob is also removable. Incorporating a 20 MOA Picatinny rail to the top, this rifle will give you more elevation adjustments to dial in your scope.
Taking standard AICS short-action magazines, consumers have many affordable options to choose from when stocking up after purchasing this rifle. The pistol grip is also completely interchangeable with any AR-style grip.
Utilizing an integral ARCA rail along the entire lower portion of the handguard gives many options for mounting accessories. The rail also features a scalloped cut along the top to allow for scopes with a lower height over bore, and an extended pic rail to allow Nightvision and Thermal clip-ons.
Including an adjustable buttstock, users will be able to finely tune the length of pull, butt pad height, and cheek riser to best fit their preferences.
Available now, and aiming to ship in February, the Daniel Defense Delta 5 Pro is going to be a tack driver. Coming in with an MSRP of $2,499, this may be the most accurate sub $2,500 gun on the market.

Is the cheek pad and riser reconfigurable for left hand shooter and are there longer barrel options
More overpriced JUNK. Any time you match a 308 with a 16 or even 20-inch barrel you are wasting powder as neither of those barrel lengths will burn all the powder in the cartridge. The 20-inch barrel is barely adequate for the 6.5 Creedmore although I would never buy this overpriced junk even for that cartridge either. There is a reason Federal arms uses 24′ bull barrels in their test lab.
