The Bren 2 is 1.5 lbs lighter than the 805 Bren, and comes in 5.56 and 7.62. Yeah, it’s a pistol.
CZ-USA’s new Bren 2 Ms large format pistol is their ideal remake of the 805 Bren. It’s a short stroke gas piston pistol chambered for 5.56 or 7.62x39mm, and each caliber is available with barrels ranging from 8”/9”, 11”, or 14”. The 5.56 uses standard AR mags, while the 7.62 using proprietary magazines.
A lot of the weight savings from the previous version comes from the carbon fiber lower.
The Bren 2 now has a carbon fiber-reinforced polymer lower, and the whole gun is 1.5 pounds lighter than the 805. It’s fully ambidextrous with a non-reciprocating charging handle that can be placed on either side and mag release on both sides.

With such a light gun, you’re probably wondering if you can add a brace. It comes ready for a single-point sling, or you can add a buffer tube and brace.
Bren 2 is ready for a single point sling or any number of buffer tube braces.
There are plans for SBR parts, but a government shutdown had slowed things down a bit. Once things catch up we can expect to see new things happening quickly.

I’m sure it’s awesome, but that lower is hideous. Would be a good spot to cerakote.
