CZ-USA is happy to announce a whole new family of rifles with their next-generation 600 series. These bolt-action rifles are feature-rich with swappable barrels for caliber conversions, with offerings from .223 Remington all the way up to .300 Winchester Magnum.

The 600 series is launching in four patterns, the Alpha, the Lux, the Range and the Trail. Each version is tailored to suit the needs of different shooters, built around the same new action, in three sizes, with steel or aluminum construction, all with controlled round feeding and cocking indicators.

All have cold-hammer-forged barrels for accuracy and longevity, 60-degree bolt throws to accommodate optics even with oversize bolt knobs and triggers that can be adjusted externally. Additionally, the barrels can be swapped without a trip to the gunsmith using conversion kits.

The triggers can be adjusted with a 4-position dial tucked into the trigger guard. The two-stage triggers can be set from 1.3 pounds up to 3 pounds with a small tool, and the dial sits flush with the stocks to prevent inadvertent adjustments.

They use a two-position safety that locks the action, but users can still cycle the action with the safety on by pressing the bolt release lever. The safety is also designed to operate silently, and depending on the model, the magazines can be locked to prevent accidental unloading.

The Alpha is the most conventional of the new line-up. While it’s very modern, it comes with many features that are pretty standard with today’s hunting rifles, including a reinforced polymer sporter-style stock, integral Picatinny scope rails and basic sling studs.

The Alpha also has the most standard cartridge option, nine in total. CZ-USA will offer the Alpha chambered in .223 Remington, .224 Valkyrie, 7.62x39mm, 6mm and 6.5mm Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC, .308 Winchester, .30-06 Springfield and .300 Win. Mag. Barrels measure from 18 inches long to 24 inches long depending on the cartridge.

The Lux is a much more traditional design. It uses a Bavarian-style stock with a slender forend and round forend cap. The stock has fishscale checkering along the pistol grip and forend with traditional sling loops. It comes with iron sights including a fiber optic hooded front sight, a mid-barrel adjustable rear sight and the action is drilled and tapped for Remington-pattern scope mounts.

The Lux will be offered in four popular gentlemanly chamberings, from .223 Rem., to .308 Win., .30-06, and .300 Win. Mag with 20-inch barrels for the smaller cartridges and a 24-inch barrel for the Magnum.

The Range is built for target and competition shooting with an adjustable laminate stock. The stock has four quick-detach sling sockets, two on each side, front and rear, two sling swivels along the forend for bipods, a railed buttstock for a monopod, and a nearly vertical pistol grip.

It will only be offered at first in 6mm Creedmoor or .308 Win. with 24-inch barrels, but of course, cartridge conversion kits will be available separately. The Range is also tapped for Remington 700 scope bases.

Round things out is the Trail, possibly the most interesting rifle of the bunch. It’s a lightweight half-chassis rifle with a collapsing PDW-style stock. Chambered for .223 Rem. or 7.62×39, it has a polymer sub-frame that accepts either AR-15-style magazines or CZ BREN 2 mags.

Additionally, the Trail has ambidextrous AR-style controls and uses AR grips. The receiver has a full-length top rail for optics and a railed modular M-Lok alloy handguard for other accessories. All four patterns of rifles have threaded barrels for muzzle devices and suppressors.

Each pattern comes with a 5-shot accuracy guarantee at 100 yards. The Range model, with its heavy barrel profile, is sub-MOA with match-grade ammunition. The Alpha and the Lux, with their medium tapered barrels, are rated at 1 MOA and the skeletal Trail gets a 2-MOA guarantee, which is still respectable.

Pricing starts out at $749 and tops out at around $1,199. There are a lot more details to get into with this new family of CZ rifles, so to learn more, head over to CZ-USA today.
