Country Music Start Justin Moore is a proud supporter of the National Rifle Association. So much so that at a recent concert in Fairfax, Virginia, he made the following announcement.
“I was at the NRA museum today. And if you don’t like that you can get the hell out – respectfully.”
He then launched into his song, “Guns,” which contains the following lyrics, “Guns, whether Remingtons or Glocks. / Come on man it, ain’t like I’m a slingin’ ’em on the block. and “I’m gonna tell you once and listen son. / As long as I’m alive and breathing, /You won’t take my guns.”
Moore also sat down with Townhall.com to do an interview promoting his new album, “Kinda Don’t Care.”
Moore was asked about lawmakers who push an anti-Second Amendment agenda and what causes them to do so.
“‘Misguided’ is the perfect word,” he said, referring to anti-gun politicians. “I think ‘misinformed’ is another.”
Moore went on to say that attacking the Second Amendment is a “cop out” for addressing the fundamental causes of violence.
“Mental health is the real problem,” he explained. “If it wasn’t guns, it would be knives, etc. To blame it on the tool being used, in my opinion, is ignorant. They want to put a Band-Aid over a gaping wound in my opinion. You’re trying to rationalize with irrational people. It’s impossible. The problem isn’t the NRA, we’re not the ones out there doing extreme things.”
The country singer, who came out in support of Donald Trump almost two years ago, said that now he’s not worried about the government trying to confiscate his firearms.
“Yes, absolutely,” he said. “I’m really excited.”
Moore isn’t the only one who is excited, many gun owners are thrilled about the possibilities of what a Trump administration might mean for the Second Amendment. Will suppressors be deregulated? Will there be 50-state concealed carry reciprocity? Will the NFA be repealed? Will sanctions blocking the importation of historical firearms, e.g. M1 Garands, M1 Carbines, be removed?
Only time will tell. In the meantime, have a listen to Moore’s song “Guns” or one of his other hits, “NRA Country.” It feels good to support artists who support the 2A.
Jeez, how bad is it (disinformation), when a “country” star talks about guns, but he is a hunter? I can vividly remember Obama saying “….(whatever policy) isn’t about the right to hunt…”. I wonder WHY, just why do people so easily gloss over the actual words in the Second Amendment, regarding ‘tyrannical govt, foreign or domestic’? It simply is NOT about hunting. I can go hunt with a bow. But it would be hard to fulfill my citizenship duties regarding the 2A, with a bow. And regarding the stupid statement about Las Vegas “doctors treating war-type wounds”, I would simply add that a musket wound from 1776 would most definitely also cause a ‘war’ wound. How about ANY shooting will cause a ‘war’ wound? A self-D shooting will cause a ‘war’ wound. You could even argue that Geneva Convention compliant hardball ammo may be less lethal than hollow-point rounds, right? (Which was the whole point of that convention). This sensationalism by media and public figures must stop. Or some sad day we’ll get de-muzzled (confiscation), then muzzled (supressed speech) by whoever that tyrant turns out to be. Disarm us, then shut us up. The Revolutionary War literally broke out over taxes and guns. The Brits were marching to seize the Colonists’ armory and were stopped cold at Concord and Lexington. Just prior to that, King George III had banned the importation & sale of guns to the colonies as well as gunpowder. God help the USA if its own citizens are so ignorant of their own history.

Mental health is rarely a problem with violent people— its very poor parenting and drugs. I have worked in the mental health field for going on 30 years and have seen the loosening of the definition of “mental health” to include spoiled adults behavior and burned out crack heads. The left has control of the AMA jus as it does with the media only more so.
Well, I’m not sure what you’ve read, but there’s a host of Doctors out there saying that mental health IS the issue, and that many if not most of our past ‘mass shootings’ have been due to mental health issues, especially in young adults, and the very powerful psychotropic drugs they take without supervision or oversight.
Drugs administered and prescribed here in the States without much oversight that require institutionalization in 22 other Countries due to their WELL KNOWN side effects such as acute paranoia and aggression.
And coming OFF these drugs is often worse, so a young man stops taking them and turns aggressive and violent.
It is suspected that was the case in both Columbine and Virginia Polytech.
But sealed records stifle the discussion, and make for very suspicious circumstances.
