Whiskey Tango Firearms, Inc. has produced a custom show-stopper, especially if you’re a fan of Marvel Comic’s “Deadpool.”
Not familiar with “Deadpool,” the smart aleck, foul-mouthed superhero played by Ryan Reynolds? Check out this trailer.
Anyways, the show-stopper is a Colt New Agent 1911 in a battle-worn Deadpool theme. Features include an engraved barrel with the words, “Smile — Wait for the Flash” and a magazine with the word, “Chimichanga.”
Fans of the movie will get both references.
Pricing for the Deadpool Colt starts at around $1,500-1,600. However, for customers who supply their own pistol, the breakdown is as follows, according to an email we received from Whiskey Tango:
- The Cerakote is $275 for deluxe multi-color pistol.
- The engraving on the barrel is $60 (this depends on the barrel wall thickness)
- Other labor and time is $40-70.
- Back in your hand TOTAL is $300-405 depending on options.
- Turnaround time is usually 2 to 3 weeks.
Additionally, Whiskey Tango can do slide and frame finishes only for “$220-240 (+ dis/re-assembly).”

I love how people came to this Web page and looked at the gun yet bitc$ about the movie and how this is a stupid gun. NOBODY made you look at the gun so shut your mouth if you have nothing good to contribute. Also the movie was based on the comic character that was made in 1991 so don’t act like this character, movie, or the language in said movie has anything to do with the times now a days. IT IS FICTION!!!!! Correct me if I’m wrong but movies are supposed to be a Escape from the world and it’s social norm. As far as the colt is concerned Whiskey tango just uses a colt, they offer that treatment to any gun that you provide for $300-450 depending on what option you want. They also have a desert eagle DP gun aswell in the link below. This is not a gun that you would carry anyway cuz you would pay to have it cerakoted then wear it out to scratch it up. It’s something you take to the range to have fun with and hang on the wall when not shooting. It’s not any different then coating any gun all OD green, coyote, or desert tan. I love the look of it though and for a few hundred $$$ I wouldn’t mind getting my pistol done.

I think a lot of people are missing the point with this one. It is a functioning piece of art and is directed to fans of the Marvel comic world. If you dont like dont buy it you dont even need to look at it. All of the 2A’ers that are bashing this are as bad as the government gun grabbers. Look at what is out there now that people carry, glow in the dark glocks and pink zebra print 1911’s. The DP colt is a nice piece work and i think the artist who made it did a great job.
Try using this as your carry pistol and when you have to draw it on a criminal watch some DA looking to make a name for himself drag you through the courts portraying you as a psycho and you could spend the next 10 years behind bars. For collectors I can see purchasing this gun.
I offer “Where’s Francis” on the barrel to avoid a chunk of that. It’s definitely something to consider before you carry.
Also if you do end up in a shooting, that’s the gun they confiscate while they investigate.

I started watching that movie and call me a prude but all the foul language was just overboard so I walked out. look man dead-pool was a comic way before the movies he was made in the 60’s for older people and more mature teens to enjoy not everyone likes dead-pool that is their choice just because someone likes something you don’t that makes them dumb or stupid no it makes them human think before you make a comment like this and make a fool of yourself what someone else likes and what you like shouldn’t matter you didn’t like the movies that is fine don’t buy them i on the other hand enjoyed them immensely and my fiance would like to get me something that she knows i would love and so i am browsing and looking for her something to get me so morel of this comment don’t hate on other peoples opinions just because you don’t like it
You should check out the guns used in Suicide Squad. They were incredible.

In the movie Deadpool’s two holster guns were matching .50 A&E Desert Eagles. But packed a hideaway gun which he’d gotten from his housekeeper. It was a Colt Defender which has a cut down 3″ barrel.

Correct me if I’m wrong but doesn’t Dead pool carry “50A&E Desert Eagles” it only shows how many blown up, close up images of the empty shell casings flying thru the air. And also snoring the barrel smoke from what firearm, o yea that’s the Desert Eagle! Maybe they should watch it again and not just try to push yet another 1911 on us. Don’t get me wrong I’m a true believer in the 1911 design and families absolutely love them who can argue with that many years of true battle hardened time, it just seems that that’s all I seen everywhere is 1911 mania lol
I have both Desert Eagles and 1911s. Both have been battle tested, the Desert Eagle just not as long. Both have excellent stopping power. I see no redeeming qualities in the plastic guns being touted now. At least when I run out of bullets I still have a nice hefty metal club in each hand to pummel them senseless. Try that with a plastic gun and you get a bunch of pieces in your hand.
