Century Arms: https://www.centuryarms.com/
New from Century Arms this year are two 9mm pistols, one a striker fired gun with a decocker, and the other a CZ75 clone called a Stingray. Also a new line of French Sauvestre lead-free hunting ammo, including shotgun slugs in both lead and lead-free, plus a brand new line of new production Zestava Mausers, including a micro-action in .22 Hornet with a detachable magazine. These are commercial Mausers with the side flip safety and a hinged floorplate, and if you look in the video, really nice dark walnut. Century is an ever-present supplier of cool guns nobody else has and we hope to take a look at a few of these this year. |
I think these Mausers used to be imported from Zastava by Interarms. They were nice rifles with very reasonable price tags.
Century Arms does the right thing by having them coming in with traditional wood stock instead of the cheesy black plastic stock they used to wear.
I think we need to get off this “lead Free” kick before the anti’s adopt it as a platform as a means of making things harder on the sporting community – to say the least you’re cutting you’re own throats. Look at California.
Mini Mausers in small calibers with removable magazines are beautiful guns.
They should come standard with single or double set triggers and a few extra magazines.
As these guns age, Mags are lost and become impossible to replace so the manufacturer should produce a good supply.
The Mossberg FLEX system is a great idea for getting maximum utility out of a single gun if the latching system doesn’t loosen up.
That latching system might be employed on the recoil pad for a more rugged tactical arrangement.
Without the 500 series, Mossberg would have been out of business in the 1960s.
I hope the designer got a good raise.
Hey Bob,,,, Wrong blog ! lol :0 sorry couldn’t help myself
I don’t know why people have such a problem with the interviewer. He is an active participant in the conversation. What’s the big deal? Mostly he just replies in the affirmative to encourage the presenter. Get off his back guys.
Nice Zastava is back. I am hoping for the old single shot actions to reappear from long ago for F-Class.
I have been looking for a source of Sauvestre slugs for over 10 years!
This is great!
Very good information but I wish your guy would just keep his mouth shut and let the Rep explain his product!
Amen.

Okay, cool, Well Steve, I really appreciate your time. Absolutely, there you have it. Century.
He Just interrupts too much, period. He adds nothing to the conversation and it’s annoying. It’s possible to be part of the conversation without throwing it a “yeah. Sure. Exactly.” after every sentence the other guy says…
We will let this through because it is pretty funny. As explained already, George is from Personal Defense TV and is used to explaining things, not doing stuff like this. He came in on short notice and had very little direction, and he still did a good job, even though some of them went like this, a little awkward and funny.
What you don’t know is that beforehand George walked them through their talking points so they caught all of the features and important things, so there was little for him to comment on. It turned out to be a bit of a catch 22 with it. Give him a break huh. He spent the week working while others sat in the press room and drank free coffee and soda while producing nothing. Here we are almost two weeks later and we still have stuff coming out. George stepped in and did the work, and next year we’ll let him do the talking instead of the company guys, because he will most likely explain it better anyway. Every year our SHOT coverage gets bigger, better, and more fun to produce, and next year we’ll unleash George Wehby. Here is his bio page for training:

Thank you for having a sense of humor, that seems to be rare these days. I’m sure George will take the criticism and become even better at what he does, I look forward to seeing his future videos and I’m glad he will be doing future SHOT show coverage.
I think he did just fine , the, rep on the other hand, well , lets see ,, we have aahhhhhaaa and here ahhhaa, and ah ah ahhh ahh and we have ahhhhaa new ahhhaa product ahha forr.. aahhh, !! it seem to me George was just trying to speed him along , and it would have been real nice if the rep. would have held that bullet still so we could get a look at it , like he did with the slugs, it was like watching an Italian cooking show !! đŸ™‚
.22 Mauser — interesting!
