CCRKBA: ‘Gun Ownership Is Not A Disease, It’s a Protected Right’

BELLEVUE, WA – Responding to U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy’s outrageous claim that gun-related violent crime is a “public health crisis,” the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms declared, “Gun ownership is not a communicable disease, it’s a constitutional right.”

“This is just one more effort by the Biden administration to demonize guns and the law-abiding citizens who own them,” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb. “The problem with violent crime is not that it is a disease, but a symptom of failed leadership, from the White House on down. From the day he took office, Joe Biden has treated gun owners like social lepers. He considers us second-class citizens who should be ostracized as though we are spreading a plague.”

Murthy reportedly complained to the Associated Press that America is unsafe. He implied people cannot “go to school, go to work, go to the supermarket, go to our house of worship, without having to worry that that’s going to put our life at risk.”

“Dr. Murthy is simply Joe Biden’s mouthpiece,” Gottlieb continued. “The real crisis in America is the failed policies of the Biden administration. Instead of focusing on locking up felons and disarming criminal gangs, he wants to disarm millions of honest gun owners whose only crime is that we exercise our right to keep and bear arms.

“Certain government positions should always be trusted, by never being partisan,” he added. “The U.S. Surgeon General is one of those positions. However, in the aftermath of Dr. Murthy’s gun control tirade, it is clear the Biden administration has made every government agency overtly political.

“Dr. Murthy says firearms should be treated like other regulated consumer products such as cars or pesticides,” Gottlieb observed. “In that, he fails even high school civics, because cars and pesticides are not specifically protected by the Bill of Rights, but firearms ownership is.”

Interesting how they never ever talk about defensive stats as opposed to criminal useage. So lets make more obstacles for legal responsible gun owners whonarent the problem! Swimming pools and poison are worse and 60% of gun deaths are suicides. Stop using fear and use the data. Obamas own study showed the results. We already have back ground checks and licensing. How about stop letting repeat offenders back on streets. Data shows 80% of felons will end up back in jail in just few years, its not complicated. So far havent heard one strategy from this talking head!

So to fully understand, your re-education, spin masters are now determined to convince the US public that the Orwellian term, “gun violence,” should legitimatley be considered the equivalent of a pathogen. Of course, this is occuring while very real cancer clusters throughout the US are ignored by the CDC. Thanks US govenrment for the latest effort in the shameless campaign to dumb-down the American public to a new all time low.

terminal lead poisoning is more of a “condition” than a disease, much like abortion and drug use which oddly enough are legal.
