For the last 60 days there have been scattered reports, and some Youtube videos, of long trains, miles long, carrying miles and miles of military vehicles. Nobody seems to know what these vehicles are called, but they seem to be more about armament than they are about weapons. Many have speculated that they are the perfect protection vehicle for Martial Law, which many thing is around the corner pending a financial collapse.
This is actual proof that these military trains do exist. One of them hit a semi-truck stalled on the train tracks today in Chowchilla California.

Aurora Shooting Witness Sues – $25k Settlement from Cops

A week after the Aurora shooting Jim Mapes carried a revolver into a theater in Thornton Colorado, and was arrested. He had a concealed carry permit, but the gun was carried openly on his belt, legal under Colorado law (except Denver). Mr. Mapes had apparently been a witness to the Batman movie shooting, but though he carried his gun that day, was only questioned by police at that time. On this occasion, a week later, a patron at the theater called the police on him and the police, ignorant to the laws apparently, arrested him. In the settlement the police (of course) admitted no wrongdoing, but settled the case for $25,000.

The US Army released a somewhat ominous list of new manuals over the past month. In the “New Releases” page at army.mil, you’ll find “KILL BOX PLANNING,” “CIVIL DISTURBANCE,” and most recently, “CIVIL-MILITARY OPERATIONS CENTER.” One among them, entitled “DETAINEE OPERATIONS, referenced as FM 3-63, has the unique distinction of being the co-operations manual with [...]

Say “Magnum Research” to a gun enthusiast, and you’ve just conjured up the image of the .50 caliber handgun that has become almost folklore. But the truth is that Magnum Research has been diversifying its offerings for some time, and now that continues with the ownership and backing of Kahr Arms. In 2014, the product line expands with a new 1911 offering called the 1911U, or Undercover. This small 3” 1911 is clearly intended for the personal protection and concealed carry markets.

Burris C4Plus Riflescope—New Scope Review

Burris C4Plus Riflescope—New Scope Review

When I first got into shooting there wasn’t the wide variety of scopes and reticles to choose from that we enjoy today. While the elements that make up a riflescope haven’t changed in many years, the technology and features have changed and continue to do so. I believe that we’re now at a point where there is literally an optic for just about any shooting activity to meet just about anyone’s budget. Hunting scopes probably have the largest market share when it comes to the total number of optics sold, but they also have the fewest features to offer the shooter. The typical hunting scope is a pretty simple affair with covered turrets and a simple duplex reticle for aiming. For most shooters, this arrangement works well for those shots that don’t fall outside of 200 yards across the fields or in the backwoods. However if a shot has to be pushed past that distance, the only choices are to apply some Kentucky windage and hope you know the drop of the ammunition well enough or to attempt to close the gap.

This year, Burris released a new line of hunting scopes called C4Plus that provides options for shooters looking for more versatility from their optics in an affordable package. Featuring two popular variable magnification ranges, custom bullet drop compensating knobs, quality glass and a new reticle specifically designed for wind compensation, these scopes have the potential to reach past the hunting scope market. At first glance it appears that Burris has done its homework in the design and layout of these scopes, so lets take a closer look.

One of the great things about being at SHOT Show is that you never know what you’re going to find that, once you know it exists, you just can’t do without. We saw a demonstration of the AR-15 charger from Caldwell Shooting Supplies, one of the Battenfeld brands, and it was impressive. Starting with a box of .223 rounds, the spokesperson, Kyle, dumped it into the charger, attached a magazine, and in a matter of seconds had transferred 30 rounds to the magazine. All without having to touch a round. That’s fast! See for yourself what a great accessory this is in the accompanying video or go to www.BTIbrands.com.

Today we got to see some of the new goodies for all you AR-15 guys and gals. From stocks and grips to rail covers and thumb rests, Blackhawk has a bunch of cool new products.
