Shield Arms Releases ‘World’s First Folding AR-15 Lower Receiver’

Montana-based firearms manufacturer Shield Arms announced this week the release of the world’s first folding AR-15 lower receiver, the aptly-named Folding Lower Receiver (FLR). Currently only offered in the 9mm SA-9 Stripped Receiver, the FLR features a folding mechanism machined directly into the 7075 billet aluminum receiver.

International shipping giant Fed-Ex announced yesterday their decision to sever ties with the National Rifle Association, according to Reuters. But the move has nothing to do with the recent mass murder in a Pittsburg synagogue, the company says. Instead, it claims that business members of the NRA did not bring in enough shipping volume to warrant the discount program it offered to the pro-gun group.
