Defensive Use of Firearms

A woman opened fire on people outside a cannabis dispensary in suburban Tulsa, Oklahoma on Friday, March 27. She was killed by a man with a concealed carry permit.

A Virginia man has been jailed without bond after he opened fire on three masked suspects who tried to rob his store early Sunday morning.

“[The customer] shot him four or five times,” said Khawaja. “It happened like in 45 seconds. Like 30 to 45 seconds.”

The suspect entered the restaurant at approximately 10 p.m., to find only a pair of customers in the establishment. That couple, however, were two married off-duty police officers out on a date night.

Two armed self-defense stories this week illustrate why it pays to be prepared at all hours of the day. In both cases, the would-be burglars attempted a home invasion in broad daylight—until they met the armed, unhappy homeowners.

After being shot once, the burglar ran out of the house to his car and drove away. Police found the car crashed about two blocks from the home.

Democrats and gun control activists have renewed their calls for gun control after a legally armed parishioner shot and killed a gunman who opened fire with a shotgun during a church service on Sunday.
