Virginia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe wants to crack down on gun owners by declaring “gun violence” a “public health crisis.”

The California legislature passed a bill this year requiring people subject to “red flag” orders to surrender “firearm precursor parts” along with their functioning firearms.

Two federal lawmakers from Illinois introduced legislation last week aimed at ratcheting up federal mandates for gun dealers.

“I’ve seen great courage when my life was on the line,” said Gifford. “Now is the time to come together, be responsible, Democrats, Republicans, everyone.”

In an opinion piece published this week, the paper’s gatekeepers argued that amidst a historic jump in murders last year, “it’s time to act on guns.” 

Congress included a gun confiscation provision in the latest National Defense Authorization Act, and pro-gun groups are sounding the alarm.

“The court reversed itself not because of the merit of the suit or that it was wrongly decided,” said Alan Gottlieb, founder of the Second Amendment Foundation, in an email to GunsAmerica. “They remanded it back to the lower court because the plaintiffs turned 21 and are no longer between the ages of 18 to 20 making the suit moot.”
