Delaware gun owners are in trouble. State lawmakers are currently passing around a bill that would ban many commonly owned and widely popular firearms.

Details are still emerging but early reports indicate that an armed school resource officer stopped an active shooter at Great Mills High School in Maryland Tuesday morning.

“We’ve worked too hard to try to get these national retailers here in our community. And this doesn’t help us. It makes no sense to tear up the community which you call home,” said Brookins.

“This is where the Second Amendment comes in, quite frankly, because you know, what if the president was to ignore the courts? What would you do? What would we do?” asked the Democratic congressman.

A Broward County judge ordered the removal of four firearms and 267 rounds of ammunition from a 56-year-old man residing in Lighthouse Point, a community 14 miles east of Parkland.  

Any publication with “Assault Weapons” content is on the chopping block. Titles that will be pulled include: Guns & Ammo, Guns Magazine, Firearm News, Military Surplus, Modern Firearms, On Target, Recoil, Rifle Shooter, S.W.A.T., Special Weapons, Tactical Firearms, Gun Buyer Annual, Gun Guide, Gun World, and World of Firepower.

While students across the country are staging walkouts at their schools Wednesday, some to protest for tougher gun laws, others probably just to skip class for a while, many young adults are silently joining gun rights organizations.
